If that's the case, there's no overcoming that.

No bueno. I think both of our two WR commits are short as shite too.
Really whiffed hard on all of the elite players at WR this cycle.
Offense struggles have consequences I suppose

This smells of NIL…which is going to happen. Following recruiting has become even less interesting and even more about the last few weeks

Starting to wonder about our skill position recruiting. We should have elite, 5*, productive RB’s lined up out the door, instead we have Cash Jones playing meaningful snaps. I anticipate struggles with WR with BoBo as OC.

Yeah he's not tall either
Sacovie white is 5'9"
And Nitro Tuggle is 6'1"... we beat out Akron for him..
I was led to believe that getting Riola would bring some WR. Guess not.
It may be partially NIL, but the negative recruiting against us for WR is pretty easy right now. That's why wasting our easy schedule and not stat padding some numbers for Dom or one of the others was a missed opportunity imo.

MRJ is our only senior at WR and LM likely won't leave if he needs to prove he can stay healthy. I think we will be fine for 2024 but the class of 2025 needs to be a good one at the position

McConkey got a favorable draft grade last year and he came back. He’s gone. RaRa and Lovett could also both be gone.

It’s obvious the heavy rotation of WR is a Kirby thing. I was told that would change going from Hankton to BMac but it’s almost worse. Fact of the matter is guys wanna put up numbers and play. Not rotate out and play half the meaningful snaps. You can sell rotation to a rb because if the amount of hits etc. WR want to be out there producing because there’s multiple pass catchers so only so much opportunities.

I gotta agree. It’s gotta be maddening for a player who rotates in for about 10/15 snaps and he’s blocking for half of them, running routes the other half, and is targeted maybe a couple of times.
I wouldn’t be surprised it would start hurting us in recruiting.

We’ve been fortunate with our advanced level evaluations turning 3 stars like AD Mitchell and McConkey into studs but I don’t like that as a rule. You’re typically gonna miss on more than you hit.
Also in a general sense, I have always kind of thought we aren’t taking advantage of the modern offensive evolutions. Can’t argue with the Nattys. Obviously there’s something to be said for playing physical and not leaving your defense out to dry, But With our recruiting grounds/ability to get athletes, we could really open things up.

If necessary, we'll get all the WRs we need from the transfer portal. We good.
