Point being that now that the regular season has ended, the official record sits at 25 with his shot yesterday.

Postseason stats count in college baseball

Softball is trouncing VT 8-0 right now in the regional final. If Carolina holds on against #3 FSU (up 4-0) then Super will be held in Athens

South Carolina has to win the second game as well. Starts in 20 minutes

Sydney Chambley is unconscious. 4 HR in 3 games

Season ends with a whimper

Dasher is indicating that news is forthcoming, presumably about Stricklin.

Stay tuned.

Saw that. Didn't take that as dasher knowing something was coming though.

Seemed like he is like the rest of us. thinking that he should be fired, but not knowing for sure.

He said “have a feeling I’m not done writing about Georgia Baseball”

Dash has stayed away from the fire Stricklin stuff and in some venues even defended him, largely because he has to work with Strick directly for info. That he’s starting to publicly hint in that direction tells me there’s something there.

Kendall Rogers of D1Baseball also hinting at an interesting next couple of days for UGA Baseball.

“You know what, when you look at it on paper, we had a bad year. That's the way I look at it. This program has a lot of expectations, and it has a lot of pride, and I didn't feel like we performed up to our expectations,” Stricklin said. “That's on me as the head coach. That's my responsibility. I take a lot of pride in trying to uphold that expectation here at Georgia, and this year we came up short.”

At least he recognizes where the change needs to come…..

Losing 8-9 games when tied or winning headed to the 9th is just a shitshow

Am I crazy or is it not a foregone conclusion he's gone? IUf there was smoke or scuttlebutt out there that he was returning THAT would raise my eyebrow but I'm not really surprised that peple are hinting at a firing since that is the most obvious drection to go in. This isn't like Richt in 2015 where you could kinda argue both ways and he'd acacomplished a lot and was still winning at a decent clip. There is truly nothing to support bringing stricklin back for another year. Absolutely not one single thing.

I think it’s safe to assume he’s gone but then nobody wants to actually make that assumption because we question how serious we even are about the sport. Think we need a hire before June when the transfer portal officially opens; really can’t let Condon walk. You can build a functional lineup around him in the portal

No idea what Harber & Collins do. Would guess Gonzo comes back either way.

Any realistic possibilities on who could become the next coach if they do make a change?

I don't know who they could hire who would want to come to one of the smallest baseball stadiums in the SEC.

There is no excuse to keep Stricklin at this point. None. Zero. Nada. Zilch.

He’s gone.

If we are serious about turning baseball around, we will have to spend the money. And believe me, there are a ton of really good baseball coaches at smaller universities that would come to UGA for a bigger paycheck

I’d give Cliff Godwin a blank check but it’d be very tough to get him away from ECU. He’s turned down better baseball programs than us in the past.

Doesn’t mean much either way. Most coaches we would be after are likely still in their conference tourneys
