Tell us more about Fields generational and how far it got them in the playoffs. FFS, we get it dude. We really do. You can seriously drop it now.

I suppose you're referring to Beck, but he's neither unathletic nor a statue in the pocket. Just because a guy doesn't run like Michael Vick doesn't mean he can't move well in the pocket, or be a threat to run and pick up yards when the defense gives it to him. Looking at Beck's film, I think he's plenty capable of doing that.

If all you’re going to do is say “but what if Fields was still here”, start your own thread and get the frick out of the recruiting thread.

You make productive conversation impossible.

Oh good Lord. Out of the entire post, that's what you focus on? Next time try to be a part of the conversation.

Productive conversation is impossible because insecure twats like you run around this forum trying to be big shits while simultaneously trying to police what people say, because you can't handle an opinion you don't agree with.

There was nothing even remotely wrong with my post, and it was productive until you two triggered idiots came in and took a shite on the conversation at the mere mention of the word Fields.

QB's are a different bird though. Usually once they commit early they stick with that school and are the ring leader for the entire class.

It’s a recruiting thread. Fields in an inherently irrelevant topic to the 2020 recruiting class.

People don’t click on this thread to watch you virtue-signal about how you like Fields more than anyone.

Why do you feel that's the case more so than any other position? I would guess it has to do with needing a tight relationship with the QB coach they have to make a strong decision the first time? I thought that relationship was due to the position only having 1 starter on the field. Kind of a chicken and egg thing. Seems strange but I definite agree. You don't seem to hear many QBs flipping last minute.

I'm very excited to see what he can do with the talent he will have around him. If he was solid with nothing but 2-3 star players, imagine what he could do with nothing but 4 and 5 stars supporting him? Not sure about Wake's RB situation, but he's going to have some guys here that can take pressure off the passing game, too.

People are not looking at things correctly, in my opinion. I think Newman will be fine...but you also have to remember the talent he was facing was also 2* and 3* players, and the players he will be facing in the SEC will also be 4* and 5* players. I would not expect a big jump and possibly no jump at all in his statistics. maybe he will flourish here and maybe he won't. he will still have Coley as his OC, probably...on the other hand the WRs that were inexperienced should have more experience this year.

I am not going to jump up and down if we get him and I am also not going to be bummed if we don't. he, hopefully will be a solid replacement, but again....don't expect him to come in here and put up huge numbers because of the talent he has around him.

For me, one of the big statistics he has is being able to pass into tight windows. With the lack of separation our WRs got this past year we will need that.

Rather than blowing up the thread because you're triggered by a throwaway comment that was made to answer a specific question, how about joining the conversation. Did you even bother to read the question I was responding to?

He clearly asks if Beck beats everyone out, what people will bitch. The Fields line was to simply explain why people were bitching in the first place. You fall to pieces at the mere mention of the name. Grow a pair. These kinds of posts where you lash out at someone because you cannot handle it do absolutely nothing to further the conversation, and only derail it. You're guilty of the very thing you're accusing me of, and all I was doing to answering a question.

Spending a page trying to fumigate a twat out of a thread is way more productive than 90% of your posts.

Ironic considering this post is a perfect example of another useless post that adds nothing to the thread, to make yourself feel like a big shot. You win the internet today. Does that make you feel better.

The kid lives 10 minutes from Athens, literally, and just decommitted from OU with the explicit reason saying he no longer wants to be away from home.

I don't know how anyone can walk away from that going, "Well, Vandagriff is less than a 50% chance to go to UGA at this point."

Not to mention that he's been pretty upfront in saying that if he hadn't been committed to OU, he would come to UGA. That was before his decommitment.

However, it looks like a generational talent got away from UGA because he wasn't going to play.

You should talk to Ohio State fans because none of them are even calling him a generational talent.

Lawrence is a generational talent. Fields is very good, but he’s clearly not even the best player in his class.

Eta: legit forgot I was in the recruiting thread posting this response

Think Beck could be good, but we very much need a grad transfer QB. Helps us in so many ways including what Fib mentioned of bringing in an elite 21 QB.

Last big thing (unless you're including Newman) was Broderick Jones announcing his OVs. Arkansas, then UGA, finishing with Auburn.

Still like where we're at, especially with Auburn's OL coach leaving.

Best case scenario is we get Newsome and Beck gets a year to learn and then we sign a 5* for 21 that pushes Beck.
