I hope that isn’t the case. We don’t need to be backing off D lineman. We will need some badly after the 18 season. We had better be sure we got some elite ones we are confident on.

Guy I work with has family that is all AU. His cousin was a standout at AU and made a few pro bowls in the NFL. He tells me stories all the time of how things were back in the day and how they still are with AU. Yesterday he mentioned that he was told Cam Newton pulled up in a bentley to Haselwood's house this past weekend and went in for a visit. Obviously this is 2nd/3rd hand info but I don't put anything past au when it comes to recruiting. From everythign I've seen Haselwood seems to be locked in but I hope they don't start getting to him.

At the same time, I'm sure UGA would rather not have to cut ties with a bunch of commitments again like they did this year. That wasn't ideal.

I have heard the same story. I work in Columbus, GA, and I am surrounded by Auburn fans. 2010 is getting to be a while back now. He was only 10 years old when Scam and Auburn lucked into that title. I just don’t think he is as big a deal as he used to be with recruits. Hasselwood is coming home this weekend!eith a big group of 19 kids.

It isn’t a good look for sure. This is exactly why I think Walthour keeps his spot if he qualifies. I don’t think we would tell an in state kid that we don’t have room once we accepted his commitment

Now is a big time for evaluating ‘19 guys, nothing wrong with Kirby and co backing off guys who they think didn’t perform well this fall and concentrating more on those who did. We’ve sent out a lot of offers to DL over the last couple of weeks, interested to see where some of that leads.

1) Doesn't this violate some recruiting violations?
2) I find it hard to believe that Cam Newton is spending his time recruiting 2019 guys for Auburn.

Not saying the info is incorrect, but it seems odd.

You would think but who knows.

It's the offseason and he's from atlanta. It's not inconceivable in the least bit that he woudl be in the area that day.

And again I'm just passing what I heard, who knows if it's accurate. But it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest bit.

Ole scam reliving the glory says of when he mattered at AU, cause he certainly doesn't matter now.

If he is out recruiting for auburn then not only does he have no life, but it will be one of the most pathetic recruiting ideas I have ever seen.

I am taking some of my current JR kids to the Addias/Rivals combine in Charlotte in April so I'll bring a full report back on what I see.

Only if Cam has no prior relationship with Haselwood and there's proof that he was sent there to recruit for Auburn.

Cam has his own 7on7 team (of which Justin Fields was a member). Not inconceivable for him to know Haselwood in some way. Still, it kind of smacks of Brad Lester being Derrick Brown's personal trainer and showing up to eat lunch with Brown during his recruitment while Kirby was visiting. It's not a direct violation but it's not exactly kosher either.

Top 100 TE Commits on the 7th. He’s down to us, Michigan, and Auburn. Most believe he’s a Dawg. He’s a big time Tight End. Ryland Goede

One of the more creative announcements I've seen. Had somebody play the battle hymn and then Blaylock and Bertrand delivered him a UGA hat.

What is the biggest position of need for 2019 and who are the targets at that position that the Dawgs have a shot at?

DL is hands down our biggest need.

Travon Walker (DT)
Joshua Harris (DT)
CJ Clark (DT)
Rashad Chaney (DT, just decommitted from UGA but said we're still being considered)
Bill Norton (SDE)
Chris Hinton (SDE, current MICH commit)
Justin Eboigbe (SDE)
Curtis Fann (WDE)
