The obvious question is, is he anywhere near as good as his brother?
Doubt it at this point. But he has size, hands and decent speed. Can't run routes like big bro, though. Not yet. Regardless, we could definitely use him.

I say we start him in Columbia next season no matter what.

Still pisses me off we didn't start T. Terry against the cocks. Even if he was on crutches, we should have started him dang it. At long snapper, even. Something.

Who knows..probably not fair to compare him. He was invited to the Under Armour game so he isn't a slack and he is an upgrade over some of the guys we just had decommit so it looks like a definite upgrade! Annnd i'll take all of the 4-5* players we can get for depth.

Think Venus and Serena
Well, Venus was the better player initially, Serena obviously fricking DOMINATED the career numbers. Can we fast forward that timeline to freshman year vs college career? If so, I'll take the younger brother "Serena" option. :)

Anyone know how 247's system works?
I see we have the same number of commits as Clemson, 15, with a higher average player rating, yet they are ahead of us.
Could it be a function of them having two five star commitments to our one?

He's also not going to be a 21 year old true freshmen like his bro. Not knocking him, just saying he's not as physically mature yet.

Rush Propst on Kiel Pollard. I really think we're gonna regret not offering this kid
quote:
Moultrie (Ga.) Colquitt County High School Coach Rush Propst has been a head football coach for 27 years, but he's never seen a player like Arkansas commitment Kiel Pollard.
"He's the most unique player I've ever coached," Propst said. "I've coached some good ones now. He's just different from any player I've ever seen."
"I just don't see anybody like him and I think he's the best football player in the state of Georgia," Propst said. "I really do and I think he proved that all year long."
"People want to say he's not fast enough to play with the big boys, they're so foolish," Propst said. "It's pure stupidity is what I call it."
"I can tell you this, I've coached a bunch of 4.4 guys and 4.5 guys that couldn't play wide receiver. I've played the position and I just believe there's more to wide receiver than raw speed, vertical stretch speed."
Propst, who won five state titles at Hoover High School in Alabama before going to Colquitt County, said Pollard finished with 199 receptions in his career.
"Here's the most amazing stat, 199 clips of him catching the ball, not running the ball, catching the ball," Propst said. "Receiving the ball, he has never been tackled by one person, he's never been tackled by the first person that got to him. Never."
Propst told Arkansas Coach Bret Bielema of the streak before the season when Pollard had 123 receptions.
"He didn't believe me when I told him that," Propst said. "... He sat down himself and watched it. Every single snap. He said 'Rush when I got to 97, 98 and 99, I said you know what? Rush maybe right.' "

Tyler Vaughns wants to OV??? GIMME ALL DEM CROOTS!!!!
(Sidenote, it's just an OV from an already committed prospect, but with Eason and the boys already on campus, and with the bagmen doing work...stranger things have happened...)

What is in the gold for PK and P?
Barber was aweful, but he's gone and I only see Cowart listed as a punter. Considering he was a Rfr and Ramsey was used , is he an option?
Walsh is gone too, but we used Baber as PK in bowl once he went down, what does that say about the other kickers currently in Athens?
I just don't see where any are being recruited , and I know nothing about the remaining kickers.

Just in case anyone missed this story about Tyler Vaughns, the #1 WR telling the AJC he was wanting to hear from Kirby and take an official to UGA.

That article blows my mind- if what they said in the article about UGA blowing him off is true then Richt is dumber than I thought. Thank god that man is gone.
