IMO, Grantham & Pruitt will recruit the same players.

They'll recruit some of the same guys (the 4 and 5 stars of the world) but I think Pruitt and his staff have a much better eye for picking out those overlooked players that we don't see via the recruiting services. Like I said, Grantham was looking for guys that would make good pros (most of you Top 200 players in recruiting services) whereas Pruitt seems to be looking for guys that are going to execute his plays and be good college players

This again seems to be a product of Pruitt being involved with championship caliber programs, not only talent recognition but talent development and utilization! That is what true coaching is.

I think one thing you can't overlook is that I think all of the coaches actually like each other.

One thing I really like about all of the affection we're getting from Eason and his family is that the top QB's tend to commit early. Would be awesome to go across the country and nab the top QB in a particular class (again - think Stafford) early in the 2016 process.

That could set up a monster offensive class for 2016.

Tylerdurden24 mentioned that same thing in an earlier post and I think you are both correct, cohesion between the staff goes a long way, not only with the recruits but with the parents which makes all parties involved feel a lot better about their decision.

Yeah, but I think TylerDurden24 said it much better than I did.

Pruitt is apparently quite the hard arse. He doesn't talk to the guys (that's on the position coaches) and he expects you to do it his way. He's not a player's coach and yet he understands how to make players reach their potential.

that type of grind ain't for everybody

Exactly that's why GT gets some recruits!

Downtown was surprisingly busy last night for a summer night. I'm sure that only helped our recruiting weekend.

I know absolutely nothing about this kid, but flipping him from UF is great. If both Pruitt and Muschamp wanted him, then I'm on board.

I don't know anything about him either. But had offers from AU, us, Florida and LSU. So I'll take it

How many more spots do we have for safeties? Just 1 for Roundtree?

Makes the DB situation interesting. Roundtree, Jackson, Abernathy, Slayton, etc are all still out there. I highly doubt we would turn down any of those guys.
