We're all on the Recruiting board

Yea I know. This thread has been a little dead recently.

The class is so full, just not a lot to talk about short of what Carter is going to do.
Posted on 1/4/14 at 1:16 pm to tylerdurden24
Yea but we can talk about our secret plan to bankroll Christian miller's visit and how what kind of leather we're putting in his new escalade.

Sawyer is killing it today

Yeah Sawyer looks money. Park looks like shite, just like Ramsey did in the UAA game last year. Michel and Chubb have been good and Parrish should've had that pick earlier.

The QB for the West, Allen, looks like the real deal in this game. No wonder he's the #1 QB.

Don't put too much stock in to these games, especially for offensive linemen and quarterbacks. They're just meant to show off athletic ability and to hype announcements.

Question: What position would Sawyer play?
Posted on 1/4/14 at 5:12 pm to Swin
He wouldn't, which is why Bama and UGA stopped recruiting him. By the time he got into a college weight and nutrition program, he would be 260-270; too big to play LB and too small to matter on DL in a 3-4

To summarize how our guys did from best to... not best:
1a. Malcolm Parish: "may be the best pure athlete here. He moves at a different speed and I saw that for myself" Apparently, he is elite at every DB position, has elite "range" and closing speed, loves contact and is an excellent tackler. "when I asked some other Peach State prospects about him, I got a lot of "oh man" and guys shaking their heads"
1b. Isaiah Wynn: Was considered by some the best in his category with superior athleticism and punch. Apparently two days ago he man handled every person that came his way. Described as a "more athletic and physical Chris Burnette". Some think he can play every position on the line and would be very good at tackle (long arms and quick feet)
3. Nick Chubb: All I need to post is "Josh Hemholdt's comment about chubb not having a weakness in his game is 100% right. He's a great all around guy"
4. Michel: Showed more power than expected. Very fast great burst.
5. Park: Great in the practices. All the tools but need polish. So-so in the game.
6. Dyshon Sims: Had a knee injury that slowed him all week but coaches said he more than held his own in the first practice. Also coaches said he's ahead of the curve as a pass blocker.

I know Park struggled but so did every other QB, save Barker. I'm excited to see what Bobo can do with his raw talent. He is mobile and has a quick trigger. They will coach up his footwork and accuracy. Under Bobo, QB has never been an issue (I hate Joe Cox)
Michel is a lot bigger than I thought. He and Chubb are going to be an amazing 1-2 punch.
I was impressed with Parrish the most. He is very fluid, has great footwork and a knack for the ball. He will push for immediate playing time.

I missed the under armor game...is this where all this info is coming from? or did they play in the other bowl

This is from the Army All American game. Under Armour told us next to nothing as Jeb Blazevich was the only one to play (Gaillard was hurt and didn't play). Lorenzo Carter looked good in that game though, assuming we get him.

I completely agree 100% with this assessment. Kid impressed me. He was bigger than I thought and quite phyical. Seemed to have a knack for the development of the plays. Can't wait to see him in red & black!!

Tried to watch Wynn whenever he was in. What I saw impressed me. Big kid, lot of confidence, seemed to handle his man very nicely each time I saw him.
A very good get.
