Jacob Park
By all accounts he has been one of the best QB’s at the Opening. I know Trent Dilfer and Tom Luginbill having been gushing over him the last few days. Lug’s might push his “Scouting Dept” to add that 5th star.

Seems like you already know the answer.
PJ will not (should not) last more than a couple more years at Tech. Your undying love for the flagboy creed, however, will not go so quietly into the night. Do not settle for cheap hashtag gimmicks, Chris. Stand up for your virgin heritage!

Coach Johnson aint going no where no time soon. This year he have his most talented and experienced team for his system. They went from a 3-4 to a 4-3 which they should have been in the first place. Don't be surprised if Tech finish the season at 12-2. Their only question mark is WR which they don't need an elite athlete to get open in that system.

Their last 6 quarters they gave up only 7 points against Florida St and USCw. Vad Lee will be a All ACC QB. The way they played their last 2 games with an average QB running their system, now with Vad Lee running the O and everyone returning.................... Just because you don't like them don't underestimate what it is. This should be another thread.

#UGA QB commit Jacob Park
Following up on Park, ESPN staff released the top 10 players from the Opening:
quote:
4. Jacob Park
Goose Creek (S.C.) Stratford | QB | 6-4, 206
Three touchdowns in one half? Check. Precision passing? Check. Deadly accuracy? Check. You name it, Park had it Tuesday. The four-star Georgia commit was on the mark all week at the Elite 11 and then carried it through to the seven-on-seven pool play at The Opening. “He’s immensely talented,” Dilfer said about Park. “And he gets stuff.” The only time Park got dinged by Dilfer was when he tried to force the ball into tight spots, but that happened very infrequently Tuesday. -- Jeremy Crabtree
A few top players, Da’Shawn Hand came in at #8, Ermon Lane #7, Cameron Robinson #3, and Quin Blanding #2. That’s pretty good company for Park.

Oh, you mean a USCw team that won 7 games after being pre-season #1 and was missing their star QB? Gotcha.
Vad Lee is still a one dimensional QB with questionable arm strength. Will they upset someone? Perhaps, probably Clemson like always. Will they be a bonafide contender and win 12 games? frick no. The one thing that will always hold Paul Johnson back is his inability to recruit; constantly playing at an athletic disadvantage against most everyone is a tough way to go through a season. Even in a weak ACC, Johnson is bringing a knife to a gun fight, athlete-wise. Coaching helps, but you've gotta have the horses.

Tech's financial woes all but ensures another couple of years of CPJ, which is totally fine by me. Right now, it's like a divorce - it's cheaper to keep him. Once they hit the tipping point on the buyout, he's toast.

At a minimum they lose to UGA, Clem, BYU in Provo & at least one(but prolly 2)of UNC, VT & 'da "U".....
4 losses minimum in the regular season...

That's great! My first impression of him after watching his video interview was not good. Wonder if he'll get a fifth star?
