How could I forget him. He's also on record running a much faster 40 time than the one on his pro day.

Also, BWA's vertical leap was under 30". Lorenzo Carter's was almost 40". That's freak status.

Chubb's was over 40, although their measurement things were off.

I thought one of the reasons this event is most respected is the accuracy of their measurements?

Supposedly, They don't measure verticle jumps by standard means, they "time" your jump and then convert that to inches.
It's odd.
It's odd.

The 40 timers, shuttle times, and power ball throw measurements were fine. The vertical jump was an issue.
Instead of the standard measurement system, the used a pad that calculates weight and time in the air, then uses a formula to find the vertical jump height.
That should work in theory, but the measurements were clearly exaggerated in the vertical. Speedy Noil supposedly jumped 45.3". That would break the NFL combine record. People who know more than me who watched the jump say it looked to be more around 40-41". Still elite, but way off the SPARQ number.
For the vertical jump from yesterday, it's best to look at the competitors in comparison with their peers. By that standard, Carter and Chubb both did really well. They were probably closer to 35-36" in reality, which is still very good.

I watched a little bit of the sparq competition yesterday, Lorenzo Carter is a motherfricking beast, I really hope he ends up in red and black.
