We should have 2 more very soon. 1 is Kamara who went home to talk to his parents about it, and the other is Mcgee who just got an offer. Will probably commit by monday or tuesday.

Aight, there's been a lot of rumblings re: Foster aongst Bama and UGA fans. The tattoo and a new cell phone have pissed a lot of folks off. here's wht JHD says he knows about it:
quote:
ok, here's what happened. he got caught on a visit to bama with weed a while back. he took a trip to washington after he got hurt at the opening because he got kicked out of the opening for weed. the guys at the opening covered it up for him. saban had a heart to heart with him tuesday and told him to straighten up, and either be 100% committed or decommit. this pissed him off. he called a last seocnd announcement wednesday. his mom signed a 4 year lease $$$$ and his coaches got hooked up $$$/vacation. his announcement was almost word for word the same exact announcement tj yeldon gave when he flipped from auburn to bama.

quote:I do find it hilarious that Nick Saban preaches to his recruits that they should be 100% commited and not visit/look elsewhere, while he always tries to flip recruits commited to other colleges (Dee Liner, TJ Yeldon, Shon Coleman, etc). Weed is no big deal, IMO, you just can't get caught until he left for the NFL. Athletes everywhere smoke weed pretty much all the time. Nick Fairley used to smoke it all the time at Auburn, yet never got caught. And I loved every second of his speech that was like Yeldon's. I'd also like to see factual proof showing Reuben's coaches got hooked up with money and a vacation.

Almost sounds too good to be true.

Bama isnt clean either, hence fans will cry foul but Bama will never go to the NCAA because Auburn has just as much dirt on them.
Why UGA doesnt do anything, Idk. I guess we just want to mind our own business. Would certainly fit Richt's MO

You know it happens, but now you doubt it?

The talk with Saban makes sense. Probably why the late night decision to tweet about the press conference.

I know some "things" happen, but I'd like to see proof of any of that typed above. It's kind of fast to come out, especially by someone on the Georgia side. I mean, Auburn just flipped the #1 linebacker in the nation from Alabama, so there's going to be crazy conspiracy theories everywhere you look (mostly by Alabama fans).
When I say "things", I mean like rent being paid by coaches/boosters. Money being handed under the table for food. Money given to some parents that truly aren't off "good" when it comes to food/rent/clothes (there's a ton of recruits like that). Things like this.

With the accuracy JHD showed regarding Reuben the whole process up to now, I'm gonna take that story with a huge grain of salt

Yeah, the realty agencies in the Auburn area don't offer a 4 year lease. Sounds like tinfoil in Tuscaloosa and Athens will be in short supply.
Good luck on the recruiting

I agree with everything you just posted.

I bet they would for a recruits family.

Regardless of who the sources are, I'd prefer to keep all the Foster talk out of here. He's not coming here, whatever, that's fine. Auburn/Bama/UGA/Whomever may or may not have committed violations, but let's keep that in the numerous Reuben Foster threads so that we don't get another 5 pages of Auburn/Alabama bullshite.

I saw what you posted, but I've yet to see it confirmed by someone that was close to The Opening.

FWIW....didn't see this posted but I mighta missed it when I was catching up...

Will Friend said this to a former Bama Teammate: "Derrick Henry is saying all the right things to the UGA staff right now, but they are not buying it."
Basically, they think Henry is going to Alabama...
He also said "Alvin Kamara and McGee committed to UGA last night."

Well, since UGA actually tests its players for weed and then severely punishes the transgressors, I am just as happy that he didn't end up in Athens. He would likely not have made it beyond a year if that is the case. But as the Auburn guy has said, they won't even bother to test him at Auburn so he won't have to worry about it there.
FWIW, plenty of other people with different sources, including some Georgia players, were all confirming that Foster had told UGA coaches he was coming there a few weeks ago so while JHD wasn't always perfect, I think his info was pretty strong overall. He was calling out Foster's lack of full commitment to Bama long before anyone was even giving UGA a chance to get back in the race.
