That's a vastly inferior opponent and it showed. We completely dominated that game from the literal start at every facet. Yet somehow we shoot ourselves in the foot every single chance we get and need a fourth quarter stand to win the game. This has to piss everyone off right? This is completely and utterly unacceptable

A&M could and should have won this by much more.

Small inexplicably channeled his inner Bertolet (6 points)

Wilson took a bad angle on the second Arkansas touchdown and the ball went over his head (7 points)

Ausbon dropped 2 passes that could have easily resulted in touchdown drives (14 points)

7.5 million got us out of overtime, but still a game until the last 2 minutes....

I do agree with the above and we did leave 6 easy points out there, plus a couple of weird plays/drops and it really could have been a 24 point win. BUT what happened, happened, and we didn’t respond well and continued to shoot ourself in the foot on numerous occasions. Jimbo needs to get this shite cleaned up. He’s still using a lot of Sumlin’s players but this game should never have been this close.

Our play calling got really conservative (scared) the last quarter and a half (except for the bomb on third down). This game almost reminds me of a Mike Sherman coached game: dominating everywhere on the stat sheet and field, but not being able to put a team away and almost let them win (although Sherman would have lost).

I cant remember the last time Alabama allowed a completely inferior opponent to hang around like what we just did with Arkansas. And before we start talking about how we arent bama, I hope we can all agree that we are actually paying over 12 million dollars in coaching salaries to get there. While I dont expect wins over vastly superior teams like bama, I expect us to take care of our business when we play vastly inferior teams like they do. Because that's the type of money we are paying

I can. 2014. Alabama 14, Arkansas 13...the following week, they beat their opponent 59-0.

How about last year when he let Sumlin come back and cut it to one score.

Missed the second half of the game. What all do I need to be pissed about?

That was a two score game all night long until a complete garbage time TD made it a 8 point game on the road in a very hostile environment with a bucket for a qb in hurts. If you want to hold that over them go ahead but I'm not

I think today was something of a hangover from Bama. Offense didn't have a good day at the office. Learn from it and get ready for UK.

Okay i watched the game in mostly fast forward.

Mond didn’t look sharp, and the one main complaint I have on him is that he is locking on to the target way too early for way too long. He was a little late on throws.

Ausbon needs to catch what he is thrown. Some big drops.
Dumb penalties.
Freshman kicker being a freshman.

by and large the defense did well except tor the longer drive.

I’m not mad, but there are certainly things to clean up. I think we should have been up 21-0 in the first quarter and we just need to learn to step on the throats when the opportunity presents itself.

That's Jimbo ball. Look at his history and you'll see games that he should have won by 20 but only won by a touchdown. His only consistency is that he manages to win games like these.

They're not pretty, but they get the job done.

Yep. When jimbo was hired here I remember one of our posters (can’t remember who) posted a text/email chain between him and a friend who was an FSU fan, and what I remember the most from the exchange was his friend saying that there would be several games you’d want to pull your hair out because jimbo coached teams played it much closer than it should be given the talent disparity. This felt exactly like one of those games.

I'm less bothered by the final score due to the stats. I swear Sumlin would be on the other side - win despite getting dominated due to luck. We can't frick around like that anymore though.

This was always Fisher's MO. Get ready for it.
