OM absolutely deserved to win that game, and I'm honestly a little disappointed they didn't.

The win streak begins...

Here's hoping, but Missouri is a lot better than Ole Miss and then we get to travel to LSU, which is getting better every game. We've got a tough job to even get to 9-9 and bubble land.

So many “Ags” mad about Texas A&M winning. Sad!

Pat. I’m not a huge naysayer and I’m definitely not a sunshine pumper. I guess I have two questions.
Do you feel that our teams have performed below expectations with BK as a coach.
And
What would it take for you to get off the BK train?
For me, last night was a typical night. I saw a more talented team that didn’t seem that inspired (for most of the game), I saw a team that didn’t know how to break a 2-3 zone except by doing playground alley oops (which guys like RW have been doing since 8th grade), and a team get out rebounded by a much smaller team. So I look at it as a lack of effort and discipline which to me falls on our coaching staff.
I forgot to mention that the lack of ball and player movement based on the type of defense being run against should completely fall on coaching.

Expectations are a funny thing, especially when you're on the internet.
If you're looking at the season as a whole, expectations are generally, in any sport, "do better than last year." Everyone expects their team to slowly increase their win total to the point where they lose no games, win the championship, and sit on their throne for all eternity.
If you're looking at expectations in the middle of the season, it's this weird mix of snap impressions and media pressure. If a team ever makes the top 25 or top 10, they should never fall out of that grouping the rest of the season or else everyone should be fired/murdered.
Both of these typical internet expectations are obviously ridiculous, but common (not just among our fanbase).
To answer your question, I've always said that BK had a significant rebuilding job. Turgeon lived on BCG's fumes and goodwill, kicked the program in the balls, and booked it out of town. BK spent time rebuilding, more time than the WIN NOW internet wanted, and delivered the best season in Texas A&M basketball history. Last season was as expected, this season is to be determined.
I'll say if we don't make the tournament this year, it would be the first time BK's delivered below my expectations.

I'll also point out that, ironically, I was the only one discussing this team's flaws early on in the season while everyone else was booking their final four trips. Now that some of those flaws have combined with injuries/suspensions and lost us a handful of games, it's full on melt time. Despite the fact that we're still only one game behind my pre-season predictions.

well BK didnt do much to temper expectations when he hyped up caldwell the way he did. if he were half the player the media pundits led us to believe, we weather the injury bug no problem.
