A Sherman line, Johnny, and Evans was the perfect storm.

Now we have a C-USA coach making 5 million a year.

I think I'm there. I want to see what happens with a new OC though.

I stopped answering the phone when they call. I am not amused.

That's where I'm at. This style of offense may work in a defense-less conference like the Big12, but it ain't working in the SEC. Time to move on, but before we do I'll accept a new Offensive coordinator and at least 2 more years for Sumlin. If he intends on keeping Spav, then he needs to be fired on the spot today.

No excuses.

What style of offense?

The air raid looked good when we ran it. The issue is we don't anymore.

The Air Raid is fine. The problem is we have an OC who just turned 30 and who's learning on the job, major problems with OL coaching or talent (or more likely, some of both), and we've been using a short distance power back as an every down guy for most of the year.

An up-tempo, pass-happy attack that uses the whole field is just fine, though, SEC or not.

- Sumlin is 1-7 against saban & miles.

- He's 17-15 in conference

- We only scored 4td's or more in one conference game this year.

- In the following games we scored a COMBINED 3 touchdowns:
Auburn
Vandy
Lsu

-This is the second straight season we've gone out with a whimper...not a bang.

Does that really mean much when both of their teams are much more talented?

I am more pissed about the Ole Miss streak.

Freeze is 4-4. Has the same record as Sumlin in conference with a decidedly different trend

He also had a class that was the most blatent example of cheating I have ever seen in my 15ish years of following the sport. I want to see how Freeze does next year before we crown him.

In his press conference, he implied that they will wait until after the bowl game to evaluate coaches.

We are so fricked.

Clemson in 2011 comes the closest to that level of cheating (four 5* from outside of Clemson's state), but even then it's not as bad and blatant as to what Ole Miss did 3+ years ago. Every athlete is aware of the racist past and mediocre history. Only $$$ can make all that disappear.

frick him. The longer he waits, the faster the pool of candidates shrinks.

Sumlin is the guy. Spav isn't.

The problem with some fans is that the expectations are outrageous. We think 1 good season thanks to a Heisman winner, great Oline and OC puts in the ranks with Bama/LSU- when in actuality we are a middle of the pack program.

Sumlin responded well to our defensive problems last year by canning Snyder and hiring Chavis. He likely does the same this year. We are trying to figure out how to take the jump into an elite SEC program, Sumlin can figure out how to take us there- he's already gone out and got an elite DC and continues to recruit well. He needs a better OC, it shouldn't be hard to find a proven OC thats better than Spav.

2015: 4-4 SEC, 8-4 Overall
2014: 3-5 SEC, 8-5 Overall
2013: 4-4 SEC, 9-4 Overall
2012: 6-2 SEC, 11-2 Overall

It's not outrageous to expect results with the commitment A&M has recently made. The we were a middle of the pack big 12 team historically is a bullshite excuse and a cop out. frick history, we are trying to change our future. You don't spend 485 mil on a stadium, 5 a year on a head coach, 1 a year on a DC, over 50 on the bright complex and other player facilities and expect to be a middle of the pack team. That is unacceptable. We the fans have made the commitment to improving the program with our wallets, we do not expect to be an average team, I don't give a damn what we've been in the past.

True. And yall that think we are getting a new OC are delusional.

Spav is what we get with Sumlin.

This mentality is the problem!

It is not unreasonable to expect a university with our resources, proximity to recruits, and our location to be a perennial powerhouse. The problem is that we accept excuses, allow underachieving, and are too patient.

This is the recipie for the losing program that we have.
