First time I watched him was in that espn televised game. Was less than impressed, but thought hey he’s still a kid getting national exposure for the first time, maybe he was just pressing too much.... and now you’re telling me he’s basically looked like that all year? Yikes.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but #1 5* recruits don’t struggle like that in high school. Ever. No matter what kind of talent they have around them.

That would be concerning. Apparently Mond was around a 55% passer at IMG and we see how that’s translated to college level.
Someone had a Leach quote that if a guy isn’t accurate in high school, he won’t be in college, or the NFL either. Seems to be right for the most part from what I’ve seen. So that does make me worry.

Mond is throwing for almost 65% this season, King was close to 70% last season. King went 50-76 for 8 touchdowns and no interceptions at The Opening.

King is a one man show, Longview lost 8/11 offensive starters from a year ago (including 4 OL and his best receiver, both running backs and tight end). Their OL is meh and his receivers can’t catch this year.

He hasn't looked himself this year compared to last year at all. Have watched him twice in person this year. Longview also isn't the same team as last year. I also see LSU got a CB for Donell Harris.

Mond also only played two good teams out of 5. Let’s see what his completion percentage is at the end of the year.
If King has better stats from past years then that’s good, didn’t take the time to look up how he did in other seasons, but 50s in high school isn’t particularly great.

Now unless King just tears up the stats the rest of the season, I do think he will drop to a high 4 star, but could get back into 5 star if he does well during the All Star games.

It appears that Josh Ellison got his academics in order and is now cleared to sign in December and is now counted in the 2020 class, bumps us back into the top 10 at #9.

"In addition to Ellison, four-star Katy Taylor defensive end Braedon Mowry was another commitment that did not sign a year ago. Instead of using a year of eligibility in junior college, he decided to sit out the semester and 'greyshirt.' Like Ellison, he too plans to sign in December and enroll in January."

Yeah last year he completed like 70% for 100 td and 1 interception and a state title. Hes is forcing thing this year and probably frustrated.
