I've decided."
Zachary Evans sent out a cryptic tweet that signaled a decision had been made regarding his recruitment on Friday, Sept. 20. No schools were mentioned or timeline for an announcement was provided.
After talking to multiple sources with knowledge of Evans' situation, I have gathered that Evans' recruitment remains a fluid situation, but there has, in fact, been some movement over the past few days leading to that earth-shattering tweet.
In August, I entered a FutureCast for the nation's top-ranked tailback to commit to Georgia along with fellow five-star Kendall Milton. After this weekend, I have flipped that pick in favor of Texas A&M.
Evans showed up at Texas A&M over the weekend for the SEC showdown with Auburn. I'm told that the visit went very well and there is a growing amount of confidence that the Aggies will keep Texas' top-ranked 2020 prospect in-state when it's all said and done.
With that in mind, there has been no indication that a public commitment is close. Some close to Evans insisted that there is no reason to believe an announcement is happening, though, but the source did not rule it out.
Evans seemed primed to commit to Georgia as recently as this month, but that never transpired. At the time, Georgia was out in front in his recruitment with LSU running second. Alabama and Texas A&M also comprised the five-star tailback's lead group.
Alabama has since added a second running back to its 2020 class. Georgia is recruiting multiple backs to join Milton in this cycle, namely Rivals100 running back Ashaad Clayton, athlete EJ Smith (who officially visited over the weekend) and had Auburn verbal commitment Tank Bigsby on campus for the Notre Dame game.
LSU remains in search of a tailback for the 2020 group.
The Aggies have been a constant presence in Evans' recruitment. North Shore (Texas) teammates Shadrach Banks is a 2021 commitments for A&M and the Aggies recently cracked the top five for 2021 quarterback Dematrius Davis Jr.
Recruiting is always a fluid situation and that is very apparent with Evans in particular. I'm told that Georgia's momentum has faded and he has dropped communication with some of the current Georgia commitments in the 2020 class. His appearance in College Station is not entirely indicative of his decision, but it is a telling sign that warranted a changed FutureCast.

Evans would obviously be a home run in a much needed position.
On a side note, is Hamm finally done and we can rename this?

Let's not forget that if Zachary Evans commits, it may be for that exact reason.

Doyle took his OV to OU this weekend, but Wiltfong said he is still A&M’s to lose.
*OU mod put in a pick for A&M.

Anybody a lil worried about Haynes King? He’s had a rough year so far only completing 52% of his passes with 3 TD’s and 5 INT’s

Nothing I can do about it
I see the sips on the recruiting board are paying close attention to it

Not really, he showed elite accuracy during The Opening and all of last year. Someone said Longview lost 18-19 starters from last years team, don’t know how many of those were WR or Oline, but the one national televised game I watched he seemed to be trying to hard to make plays. His WR were not doing him any favors, and he threw an awesome pass to the back of the end zone for a touchdown for it to be called back on a flag.
Longview seems to be relying on their run game and strong defense so far.
