Mizzou got a lot of production out of their TE's last year, but other than that...no

They get good production so there’s that. I happy with this.

Decent Texas ties, and he's from the Dallas area.

Coaching History:

2016-Present Missouri - Tight Ends
2015 Baylor – Assistant Director of Football Operations/Offensive Quality Control
2014 Los Fresnos (TX) High School – Offensive Line/Strength & Conditioning Coordinator
2012-13 Oklahoma – Offensive Graduate Assistant
2011 Los Fresnos (TX) High School – Offensive Line

Doubtful he'll be the recruiter Brewster was, so the whole staff will have to pick up the slack

His recruiting at Missouri was underwhelming, but that's a tough school to recruit to. I think guys like Linguist, Price, Elko and Turner will be doing the heavy lifting. And Austin Thomas is a support guy whose supposed to be really good at the recruiting game.

If he was just a grad assistant then he’s pretty young?

His father and brother were TX HS coaches. I like the hire.

From a Texas 247 guy, Mike Roach

Really like the A&M hire of Joe Jon Finley to replace Tim Brewster. Former Arlington high quarterback and OU TE. Good reputation as a recruiter and developer.

He was a full time assistant coach. I think he's 33, so yeah a young guy with a lot to prove and a good platform to do so

Looking at Mizzou’s last two classes there are a lot of kids from DFW. Wonder what role he played in those guys. They aren’t highly ranked but the connections to those schools are probably all there.

Gabe dearmond and some other Mizzou guys on Twitter said he was probably the best recruiter on staff and they hate to see him go.

That's practically a requirement in this state. It opens a lot of doors.

Yeah he should be a good recruiter with strong Tx connections.

Plus this was all clearly planned out far in advance. My guess is Brewster agreed to come to College Ststion with Jimbo on understanding that it would be short term and Brewster was *planning* to retire st some point
