Check your calendar. When does Woodward publicly announce that Sumlin is not returning?

I'll go with Sunday November 26.

Nov. 4th, 2017.

Do we want to fire him here, or wait till he gets home?

I think he will roll with Starkel from here on out. We will beat New Mexico and Ole Miss so his make or break game is LSU. He will be fired after the LSU game.

I would relieve him of duty first thing in the morning after the LSU game.

Until then, Woodward ought to be having backchannel communications with agents to line up the new hire.

Ideally, we fire him before breakfast and announce the new man before sundown.

Could have potential for great melt if interim coach chief beats lsu at home.

I'm really not sure we beat old piss. I think it will be a shootout. I could certainly see us losing that game.

Exactly, we let him go now, why let him take us to 5-7?

Hopefully he pulls a Fran and wins his last game on his way out the door.

It needs to happen soon, like tomorrow or Monday. That way we can move on with our lives and try to keep recruits in the fold.

Someone on the Zoo is claiming a BoR source that says he'll be fired between today and Tuesday. Which, of course, probably means he'll finish the season.

so his make or break game is LSU

There are no more make or break games for Sumlin, that has passed now. Even beating LSU won’t save him now at 8-4.

And I’m not sure how anybody watching this team right now can count ole miss as an automatic win, we both suck.

Nor do I, but the OP was when do you think he will be fired and I don't think he gets fired before the LSU game. I just don't see us as the type of school that fires a coach mid season.
