Which is a significant improvement relative to others. We buy "polite" a beer and hope for a good game with no injuries and no bad calls that decide anything.

Only reason I can think of that this game isn’t gameday is cause it’s almost a certainty they’re coming back for the Texas game. I guess they don’t want one place to host 3 times in a season

Regardless, I’m trying to avoid optimism for this game. I don’t wanna be heart broken if we can’t get the job done but I feel pretty good about our chances tbh

Northgate area is where the bar scene is. Dixie chicken is the most popular/nostalgic bar in the area and is worth swinging in for a drink or two just to experience it. Corner bar has a nice rooftop that’s cool to hang out at as well.

Best bbq is (not cheap) located at 1775 pit bbq, they’re open 11-sellout Thursday, Friday, and Saturday only. It’s just outside of town but worth the 10-15 min drive. Best in the area by far.

Good Mexican food is usually over in Bryan. Jose’s, Corona’s, Clinatro, and Papa Perez are all good places. Still gonna be Tex-mex, but more authentic than a chain like Chuy’s or On The Border.

Non-chain place for breakfast is either Stella Southern cafe or Hullabaloo Diner out in wellborn. Both are really good, but get there early or you’ll be waiting a while. We don’t have a waffle house…. Yet.

If y’all are just in for the game and running right back home then no problem, but if you’ve got time to spend the Bush Library on campus is a neat tour, and we have a top golf clone (called big shots) over in Bryan along with a mini putt putt course designed by tiger woods or something.

One addition I'd make is Fuego for breakfast tacos, but it can get crazy gameday mornings and after bar hours. Very close to campus. Love Hullabaloo but its a good ways out and can have crazy lines as well.

Higher end food I always suggest Christopher's. They still have reservations available. If you're wanting to go out to the bars immediately, Dixie Chicken has good burgers, Chimy's has good margaritas and food that can fix hunger but is certainly nothing special. Chimy's will have all the games on.

No need to worry about tailgate plans if you haven't made them already. Wear Miz colors and youll get plenty of invitations

So since its a 11 AM game, should bars be ruled out completely for early morning activities? In Como, 11am are pretty ideal for bars, not so much tailgating.

Yeah there’s not much going to be going on at northgate before the game, you’ll be better off hitting up some tailgates. I don’t think many of them open until 11am right as the game starts. As said above, wearing your team colors will likely get you invited to a few tailgates as you walk through. We are maybe too friendly (insert a cult joke here) to opponents.

ESPN fricked a bit of that up by putting the game at 11am.

So lame that the only ranked vs ranked game of the day is a morning game.

Everyone knows watching Georgia mudstomp Auburn for the 8th year in a row is a much better option.
