oline

A good oline can make a mediocre skill team look realy good. A crappy online makes an excellent skill team look worse than crappy. Again. Does Adazzio have incriminating photos?? Even independent of him, a big knock on Fisher at FSU was sorry oline play,so it really just looks like more of the s...

OL

Just watched Pittman's post game. Dead man walking, just not the right guy as a HC, and it's obvious. No shame in it, I'm not the right guy for CFO, but do well as COO. That said, if he gets canned this week I hope we hire him for OL coach. ...

Am I the only Lions fan?

Posted by socal91 on 9/29/23 at 11:01 pm
I absolutely love the play. the attitude, the whole deal that the Lions are bringing. That Dan Campbell and Aaron Glen are bringing it makes me one happy MF. My GreenBay family is not with me this week....

"Chris Marshall released do to breaking team rules." For the good of those who come after him, I hope that he ends up asking "you want the sandwich, or the meal." At the end if the day nobody cares about talent that for whatever reason is inaccessible. ...

Senior leadership

Posted by socal91 on 5/4/23 at 9:32 pm
I just read a quote where one of the guys basically said that some of the new guys were "loose in the head" and that caused the Great Unravelling" of 2022. Is there not some modern day equivalent of dragging guys out under the west bleachers to "explain a few things in a way they can understand?" ...
The reality is that coaching has been for years what playing is now. A purely mercenary endeavor for most people. Period. You are not a fan of the players, etc. It's whoever is wearing the jersey today. But that isn't a reciprocal agreement. For a few pesos, that same guy will be on the other ...

re: So, who's going to the portal?

Posted by socal91 on 12/16/22 at 11:03 pm
Simplification is going to be the biggest deal. With early draft losses and the portal, you need a system that guys can pick up quickly. Let good athletes do what they do. That was Leach's genius. And Phi Slamma Jamma. It is part of why Kliff had quick success (having JM didn't hurt). It's ...

re: Best options for the Texas Aggies

Given a chance? This isn't a job, it's a hobby with a hell of an income. The upside of a guaranteed contract is it keeps the coach from being a booster fluffer. And it slows overreaction. We really won't know if that second thing is good till next year....
Posted by Dr RC ? on 10/9/22 at 8:23 am to Tridentds No. It was not a good call because Jimbo should have known that is too difficult of a throw for him to make w/the game on the line. Period. End of story.
I don't get this. If it was a committed pass to the pylon, a 9 year old...
I have never played QB, but as a former defensive guy I think that if you are on your third read at close yardage, I like my odds. ...
The idea that an analyst could tweak Jimbo's offense to an acceptable level is laughable.
It isn't a tweak. Only a systemic failure could cause this kind of undetperformance relative to the assets at hand. Maybe we prioritize recruiting over player development? We clearly have a...
