This is literally the best outcome for A&M. For the first time in collegiate athletic history, Aggies and Longhorns will play against each other on an actual level playing field!
No more Texas refs calling games in favor of Texas.
No more Texas conference rules that benefit Texas.
No more Texas making more $$$ than everyone else.
No more Texas making their own convenient schedule.
No more Texas using the conference to grow their brand over other members.
No more Texas using the conference to punish their rivals.
Texas thinks they're taking away our SEC advantage, but in reality they're giving up the only advantage they've ever known; RUNNING A CONFERENCE. Just wait until they realize they can't push Alabama, LSU, or A&M around like they used to push Kansas, Iowa State, or Texas Tech.

Worst of all, they are giving up their own TV network, their own personal conference, and an easy AF schedule...all because they miss Aggy!

now, i wouldnt be surprised if for whatever reason the athletic department was blindsided. but not our chancellors and BOR. you just dont have discussions like this without every school being involved
if, for whatever reason, we actually were totally left out of this and the other 13 schools negotiated this behind our back, then yea id support leaving the conference as that is completely unacceptable

I just found out about this mess yesterday and am still in denial mode I think, I’m not sold it’ll happen. It’s two sides of the same coin for me. On one side I’d love to see the rivalry renewed (My dad and grandfather are over it) but I think it’d be good for football. On the other side I’ve got a bad feeling about tu being in the SEC, I just think they’ll try to throw their “weight” around (money and political backings) because they are pompous asses and that’s what they do. If they are let in I hope the SEC as a whole will stand strong and tell them “that dog won’t hunt” this is the SEC and you don’t run shite. I did just see on tSECRant someone posted CBS reported the big12 offering tu and OU more money via tv revenue or some shite like that which honestly just makes me feel bad for the rest of the big12 teams. All that being said it would be glorious seeing tu struggle with a legit SEC schedule the first few years.

I just hope our administration pushes for an SEC invite on the condition that Texas spins off the UIL. I'm aware that their control is practically symbolic and non-existent at this point, but still...make em work for that invite.
