Of course players can improve but his number of picks and lack of zip are concerns. 6 picks in 70 passes is a lot no matter how you slice it. Also while you could argue the tipped ints were the WR’s fault he also has had several other dangerous throws that could easily be snatched up. Maybe this game was just nerves but he’s going to have to get over those quick b/c I don’t think he’s going to have nearly as long a leash as Mond did. Jimbo puts a premium on protecting the ball and Max has already shown he can do that in SEC play so I don’t think Jimbo will wait too long to make the switch if King keeps up w/the dangerous throws.

Jimbo has also put a large emphasis on pushing the ball downfield. He wanted to do to last year and Cazada couldn’t. He talked about it during the offseason (Pate interview). Now he’s talking about it in the presser. Paraphrasing, it’s easier to tell him to throttle back than to hit the gas. He also brought up Farve.

King ain’t there yet. I’m far from ready to bench him after a few mistakes whiles he still making some damn good plays. There is a reason he leads the SEC in 60+ yard plays and is 2nd in 40+ yard plays. That’s more than Calzada has all of last year.

Our defense is elite. Facing an opponent that put up 40 points in a quarter, they'll be looking to make a statement.

Can't wait

I was impressed with King staying in the pocket as well as he did. No happy feet. I think his decision making will be better with experience and time.

Honestly will come down to whether the OL can improve, quickly. No running game of consequence this past week

This week either apparently. We are not good on offense at all.

Really, we have to find a QB for the year pretty soon.

Every throw King makes looks like it has too much air under it.

Except when he one-hops a WR streaking up the hash

King still hasn't even had to play a good defense. He's going to make Kyle Allen look composed by comparison

Even when King isn't bad, he's still not very good. Perfect reflection of his coach

If King sees the field again, Jimbo needs to be run out of town

King definitely missed some crucial throws. Offensive line sucks though, big time. His fumble was a three man rush against 5, so I’m not sure throwing Johnson or Weigman back would change much at this point.

He missed pretty much all of the throws. Wtf was that option play? He obviously needs to pitch, holds on to it, then on the way down to the ground tries to flail it over to Achane?
