We suck. We have no run game at all and our QB is awful. But if we are looking at the glass half full, then I guess Mond played a slightly better game than Starkel 
. So props to Jimbo for letting the crappier player walk. On a side note, I don't know what the hell Chaggy was thinking by benching Hicks.

I’m happy. We won. We’re going into a bye. We’re gunna get our arse kicked by Bama, but then we have Ole Miss & State. That’ll decide out season. Either it’ll be terrible to okay.

Army went 3-9* (3-8 officially b/c of vacated loss to Arkansas State). Fran had gone for it on 4th and 1 at our own 30 and got stuffed in the games final two minutes. Army had a 1st and goal at the 2 with 13 seconds left but Misi Tupe stuffed the Army RB on 3rd and 2 to end it.

Hicks played poorly in his starts for Pig earlier in the season. This was the best he's played since he led SMU to a 41-38 win over Tulane in 2017.

So depressing that a great memory from the Fran years is a 4 point win over an awful Army team. Good lord those were dark days.

I don’t know. I feel like we always play like shite in this game, and manage a victory.
It certainly doesn’t inspire confidence moving forward, but I’m not sure I’ve ever felt good coming out of this game.

Oh, I also wanted to mention just how much joy I got after watching starkel throw that pick, and then get rocked trying to make the tackle, and Myles Jones leaning over talking mad shite to starkel while he was on his back. Loved it. Short lived good feels though considering we fumble and give them a td, but whatever.

We have issues, but it’s not as dire as y’all are acting like. We barely beat this Arkansas team last year, too, but we kept improving. We’re going to lose to Bama, then, we just need to keep winning and keep improving until the last two weeks.

A few hours to settle back down and let some of the game process and the only thing I can say I’m happy about is seeing all of the Arkansas fan’s frustration.
Lots of comments about how “they’ve owned us” and “a team we historically beat”. Well, I’ve got bad news for Arkansas fans but they better get used to it. We may not be very good either right now, but with the current landscape of college football they aren’t going to be dominating anytime soon. I’m sure just like us with LSU last year, they are going to eventually sneak a win in on us, but I don’t think they are going to start a dominating run on us anytime soon.
In short, the only thing I’m happy about is 8 in a row.
