Fisher was less than impressed with the game

We looked very blah after a fast start. I also think some of this is game planning, we have some big ones left on the schedule and he’s always been conscious of not showing too much.
I was encouraged we came out with so much energy when this was a letdown spot. Fine win overall

I’m fine with the win, but it showed we still have work to do across the board. Saw somewhere that game was 14-14 after the first quarter when Mizzou settled down and we didn’t jump on opportunities.
1) Zach showed he’s not going to be in his Bama game form for ever game, he lacked touch and had several incompletions on simple screen passes. Missed some wide open guys as well. Just hope he continues to progress and get more comfortable in the system.
2) Defense isn’t good at defending short throws. Missouri was fairly successful at those short “dink and dunk” passes just like Miss St. gotta tighten up coverage and get better at defending that. Otherwise Ole Miss’s passing attack will eat our lunch.
3) O line is playing better than the first couple of games but still have some missed assignments/trouble picking up blitzes.
4) penalties were bad across the board. Stuff called on us that shouldn’t have, and mizzou got some bad calls against them too. Notably a few of those PI calls. Someone said the defensive holding on our 2nd and 29 should’ve resulted in an automatic first down? I know we converted anyways, but not good if that’s true and refs are missing stuff.

Don’t know what game you’re talking about because it was 21-0 after the first QTR and 28-7 at the half. We let off the gas offensively at halftime.

He's technically correct. It was 21-0 at the end of the first quarter. Over the next three quarters, each team scored 14 points.

That’s what I’m saying, we scored 21 points real quick in the first quarter. After the first quarter was over, we only scored 14 more points in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th quarters, while Mizzou also scored 14 points in that same timespan. We didn’t continue to dominate and extend our lead over them like we should have.

Was replying to you just because you were the most recent comment on the thread, wasn’t specifically picking you out. More talking about the “can’t watch I’m so worried about this game” guys earlier in the thread.

We’re 3-0 since this thread, with 3 more SEC games left.
Cokebottleag, my friend, can you start this thread again? We need to reset the mojo for this crazy important stretch run through Auburn, Ole Miss, and LSU.
Thanks.

It's because I stopped watching or attending games for the good of the team. You are welcome

Well done! Keep up the great work.

I don’t know what you’re taking about, but this team has managed to get lucky twice now. We caught Bama sleeping, and caught USC with a crazy situation at QB. Mizzou was also a fluke. We have to face auburn, OM, LSU now, none of which are winnable.

The harder you practice, the luckier you get. Increasing ratio of starters on the field vs the sideline doesnt hurt, either.

Definitely quite the turn in our season but lets not get too big on ourselves. We were always going to beat Mizzou and USCe, no matter how much melting down and pants wetting that occurred the week this thread was started. So we are just 3-0 instead of 2-1 during this stretch.
I think we lose to Ole Miss on the road, but beat everybody else and end up 9-3. Not a great end to a season where we started top 5 and managed to beat alabama in conference play, but not a total disaster either like it could've been.
