We punched it in the end zone. He would call a TO or get a clock stoppage and work with the offense, and boom, score. I am not quite sure what to think about it other than he really can run his offense and when the players buy in great things will happen. He straight up was a wizard out there last weekend.

While I agree to an extent, Jimbo outthinking himself prevented the game from ending in the first OT. We had the ball first and goal at the 1 and ran two plays from the gun in 11 personnel that lost 4 yards.

In that situation, you line up in the heaviest formation you’ve ever repped in practice and run either a leadback dice or QB sneak, FOUR frickING TIMES IF YOU HAVE TO.

I can take a 6A high school varsity team and score from a yard out against LSU with four chances.

That was my thought as well as the overtimes kept coming. I was like this should be over we should have run three qb sneaks and or three lead dives. Should have never gotten to the second overtime.

I would have preferred a couple of runs from under center after getting 1st and Goal from the 1, but when your OL gets beat that badly, I don't think it matters where you're handing the ball off from.

yeah, i mean i can definitely see the flipside, where all of us fans are bitching at jimbo for running it up the gut three straight times and getting stuffed.

i just think we would have eventually punched it in though.

We should have seen #34 in a jumbo package. First and goal and I dare anyone to stop the Mack Truck from getting that yard.

a jet sweep for score would have been fun to see, but i agree we should have pounded it down the gut, trayveon would have walked in had mond not kept the ball

It may not have been the right call but it also wasn’t a bad call. And in that situation if I recall we did not call a TO? That’s more along the lines of my point

Plus he’s playing the odds because our OL is a weak spot. Against the 1the entire defense is closer to the backfield and more likely to get a tackle for loss. A mobile qb is the best remedy to this

You don’t need a good OLto execute a QB sneak. If the QB handles the snap, it’s almost a guaranteed yard.

We struggled so much getting a yard all year when the other team knew we were going to run. I don't know if we would have scored. I would like to have seen us try it 3 times.

We have had power running problems for 5 years now. I do fully expect Jimbo to fix this once and for all. Next year when we need a yard or two it will be buckle up time. Looking so forward to having this capability once again.
