This is the correct answer. They truly think A&M is unworthy to be able to pull in this type of class or they are crapping their pants about it. They have felt so comfortable for so long that A&M isn't a real threat and that all the bluster about "sleeping giant" and our massive resources would never amount to anything. It's full on panic with many of them or they are still in denial.

Unfortunately it is making any real discussion almost impossible.

There’s 2 roads for A&M football and we all need to realize this now cause it’s not gonna get better
Road A: we suck and everyone always calls us mediocre
Road B: we’re successful and everyone tries to rain on our parade cause they can’t stand to see us be good

I’d rather be hated, means we’re moving in the right direction. Idc what other fan bases think

*traditional* powers didnt generally get there without exploiting some advantage. It always works that way. Find an advantage, and exploit the hezell out of it until it just "is."

The NCAA dealer just flipped a card that turned our hand from an eeeh maybe into a real threat.
"Raise" more than they are comfy with, giggle to yourself when they beetch about it, and hope it takes a while for the rules to change.

NIL really benefits the bunch if folks with a chip on their shoulder and AxBlack cards in their pockets. Not so much the "in 1934" crowd.
