Did anyone really think we'd go unbeaten?

I didn't think we'd get beaten like we did though.

A whole lot of idiots on the Zoo apparently thought so. But I think some of them may have legitimately thought we were 5-0 in SEC play going into this game.

I always figured three losses, but that may turn out to be optimistic.

I didnt expect to lose that bad, but I'm not too surprised. Especially considering I thought we'd go 7-5 before the season started. I felt a lot worse last week when it was looking like we were sunk vs Arky.

Still hopeful for 9-3. Never thought we'd go unbeaten.

If we shite the bed against Ole Miss next week, then I'll jump on the BAS bandwagon and start picking 6-6/7-5.

What happened today? I didn't see the game. I hope nobody expected to go unbeaten, as no SEC team will, IMO.

It sucked for sure. Hoping the team can loosen up and play the rest of the year. Seems they start pressing and stuff snowballs. Defense needs to grow up a lot. The drops are concerning. But i think this was probably one of our three wtf games of the year. We are good but still not ready for the next big step.

To start the year, I picked us to go 8-4, one of those losses including south carolina and one of those wins including miss state. So those two games basically net out. I'm still hoping for 8-4, but today's game exposed some serious flaws

No, but

Ditto. That was a beatdown. Even w/ Kenny passing better and WRs not dropping so many, I think MSU would have won handily. They looked really good to me.

Fan experience: Still searching for the Tech equivalent. It ain't in Columbia, SC or Oxford or Starkville. Friendly folks all. The cowbell rule, though, is absolutely ignored. No difference on the game - even with them the crowd noise wasn't impressive. That frequency sure is annoying, though.

Nope. Thought every game was as loseable as it was winnable. Last couple of weeks bore that out

No way we're winning anything this year with the types of performances we've exhibited the past couple of weeks, though.

At what point does Sumlin need to think about sacking Mark Snyder?

This is two years in a row where the defense is bad. And I mean very bad.

If this keeps up I can see some of our defensive recruits looking elsewhere. If Daylon Mack goes back on Twitter and announces another OV to someplace, he may be gone.

You know, I can't blame Snyder for the way we've been outclassed the past couple of weeks. Hard enough to field a decent defense in an era that really does favor offenses and on a team who's offense puts a strain on the defense by its very design, but Snyder isn't calling shitty plays and causing the WR's to drop balls.

Hell, today his defense forced a turnover in a prime spot early in the game, only for the O to give it right back the very next play.

Trying to use Snyder as a scapegoat is myopic and lazy, IMO.

But his defenses don't stop running attacks either. You could see problems developing when we played RICE.

And MS State isn't the best running team we'll see. Auburn and Alabama feature strong running games.
