Thanks for posting

Like I’ve said many times before, Jimbo calls the shots that’s why he stays here and not elsewhere. I won’t question his judgment as long as we are improving/competing

I'm not crazy impressed with the hire, we certainly could have done worse, but I was thinking we might get a bigger name.

As to the back and forth on if he was responsible for the death or not, this has made the rounds on Texags today, its a post from reddit it looks like from a Maryland fan.

quote:

There's a reason he wasn't fired with cause.

LINK

"After Dr. Walters provided his preliminary report in late July, suggesting that the training staff bore some responsibility for the tragedy, Mr. Durkin urged Mr. Evans to retain a new training staff before August practices began, to ensure the safety of the players."

"[Mr. Durkin] states that he repeatedly requested that a physician be assigned to cover every football practice, and Mr. Anderson has confirmed that Mr. Durkin made this request"

"In interviews with the Commission, Mr. Durkin expressed frustration with the level of support, and the lack of communication, he received from Athletics. He was particularly upset when UMD reorganized the doctors providing care to the football players. Mr. Durkin felt that one physician, who had treated football players for several years, was trusted by the players. This physician was removed from her position without prior notice to, let alone input from, Mr. Durkin."

These do not seem like the actions of a raving lunatic. He is not an old-school no water football guy. He spoke at Jordan's funeral. He is not a murderer.

As they always say, if its on the internet it must be true, but if what is posted is in fact true, I dont know how you say its totally his fault and he's this really bad dude.

Do we now rename our defensive spring drills, "Murderers' Row"?

Ohio St just let their OL coach go (supposedly they will pursue a guy Ryan Day used to work with, now at UCLA).

Greg Studrawa

His name was thrown on out on one of those initial OL coach lists after Henson left. Wonder if he ends up being the guy. The OSU offenses have been elite every year, and he appears to be part of a good recruiting effort to land highly rated guys from across the nation. Just ok at putting guys in the NFL (comparing draft slots to recruiting profiles), but I guess that would not be a primary concern.

Anybody know about the Robinson to Michigan talk? Can not believe we would let him go unless he got coordinator job. Doubt we let money be the problem.

I have no idea if there is anything to it. He may just be looking for a well deserved raise. Robinson is probably the best recruiting position coach in Aggie history.

Have not heard anything other than the timing is being held up because of contract obligations. (Loochador podcast) So, to me that means NFL guy.
