Before I rant about something, I see why Chicken did this. All of the team boards activity usually go in these megathreads and are harder for new people to get information easily. Megathreads are bad for activity in the long run.
Anyways...
More threads don't mean anything considering that currently (not in the past), they'll get either 30+ posts within threads, or 3. More threads don't tell me how active this place is.
More posts within threads doesn't move the needle much either. Last year in the football thread we had a few active people there with a few oldies (and resident non-ags) chiming in once in a while (we see you Captain and S). Coach Search thread was actually more active than the season football thread with A LOT of different people talking, craziness
I'd say both, but we need more people to come here and express their opinions. The texas/OU move should help our numbers a bit, but people need to start coming here. If y'all can bring folks in here, that'd be great.
I'll get started on making the ND game thread.

Seems like I see quite a few A&M posters that post a ton on the rant but never post here on the team board. I’ve kinda wondered why.
Do they not have access? Is it they just wanna troll only? Something else?
Definitely seems like the board is slower than back when I joined years ago. It has always slowed down in the off season but we are almost into football and it’s still dead around here.

have to agree with chiken here. thread titles pique curiosity and will bring more engagement. everything consolidated into 3-4 threads takes more initiative to follow and only the regular members are going to do that. even with mindless threads with no replies, it is still faster and easier to scan the first page or two than tracking the megathreads. jmo

Every week we have a:
Game Prediction Thread
Game Thread (discussing the game all week - not the rant scoreboard GT)
Postgame Thread (if we lose, you are free to melt on HERE, not the rant)
We'll also have a mid season review thread (a thread reviewing our season so far - won't be posted until before the State game). If y'all would like a "Other CFB teams" thread where y'all keep up the games, I wouldn't say no to that. Aggies in the NFL/NBA/MLB would also be an interesting thread idea.
I'll allow individual threads to be posted instead of doubling down (unless it's related to recruiting, then I'll re-direct to Captain's recruiting thread). More threads is what admin what's so I won't double down.
I think that's it.
