What a load of BS. People gave him the nickname "Johnny Football" long before he started. People knew he had a special kind of football skill.

I saw a really good post over on the football board on texags, it was something like “leach’s teams won’t be a threat to win championships, but will have a major influence in who wins the sec west each year”.
I think that’s spot on, he will upset and surprise some teams each year, but don’t think he will build to consistently win 9+ games more years than not.
For the guys scared and quoting his 7-3 record vs A&M, this ain’t your daddy’s A&M. Remember we sunk half a billion dollars into our football stadium, millions more into player and practice facilities, went out and hired a coach with a Natty already, and gave him a wide open budget for good coordinators and position coaches. We are a little bit different than the Fran and even Sherman eras (although Sherm was 3-1 vs him).
I think leach has done a pretty good job attracting talent to Washington state and doing the best he can there, but let’s be honest, the pac 12 as a whole has been about as good as the big 12 these last couple of years. His system is fine there, but time will tell if he’s over his head in the sec.
