I met Damon once, he’s a...different kind of guy.
I’ve read some of the stuff he’s been involved in over the years on the three star board and he’s a wildly unstable individual who really needs to go to prison. He’s also got serious health problems and a narcotic addiction at 44 and probably won’t live to see 50.
There was a rumor over the last 6 months or so that he tried to kill his ex by driving them off the road, and it turns out that was true.

I just finished reading the first two pages of that thread...and wow. I always knew there was something off about the guy's posting style from my days posting on TA. I just didn't think it was this bad! If any peon poster were to imitate his posting style, it would have resulted in a swift ban. Instead, this guy was celebrated and invited into the TA Fan Show. I never knew he was a mod, which makes some of the accusations on that thread pretty damn serious.
It sucks his life spiralled out of control, but it sounds like the guy lived his life just like he posted; zero fricks given. Looking back, it wouldn't surprise me if Old Rivalries was a negative influence on his real life behavior.
EDIT: I finished the thread and I hope he gets the help he needs. If not for his sake, then at least for his children's sake.

Exactly. He wasn’t putting on a show any time he posted, he really was that wild, it caught up to him I guess.
And has caught up to him for awhile apparently. Some of the allegations against him date back to 2014. So it surprises me that a lot of this is just now coming to light and he was able to swindle money from several people. There are people in that thread that are out over 3 grand.....ouch.
Just a crazy set of circumstances and sounds like he had his own little “clique” that protected him for a long time.

The internets are full of weird people. Just like real life. The difference is only that we're much more quick to avoid these kinds of people in real life.

Well put.
I also like the quote that is something like: “ before the invention of the word wide web, village idiots usually stayed in their own village”

You can spot some of them in that thread. The current thread on Varsity has even more of them.
I dont understand how people are just now realizing this shite. The theft and drug mule shite has been talked about for years.

I’m gonna pray for the guy, I don’t get rejoicing in anyone else’s life coming off the rails
Seen it happen to too many and it’s tragic certainly nothing to celebrate

Its looks like a classic opiod addiction to me, someone with personal experience.
It's horrible to deal with for the person with the addiction and people that deal with the addict. It's not an excuse for the things he did, but it is a disease that is widespread in this country.
Hopefully he beats it and gets his shite together for his kids' sake.

With its 4 early entries in the 2019 NFL Draft, it looks like Texas A&M will have 3 scholarship seniors next season. They could enter 2020 having lost ZERO starters on offense or defense.

5 Scholarship Seniors. Pryor, Howard, Elam, Oliver and Mann.

The thing is, he had a lot of problems even before all the legal stuff started in 2014. He’s got bad heart problems and already had multiple heart attacks/stents and was WAY too wrapped up in his Texags persona. He’s been going after people IRL for shite that was said/done on Texags since the late-2000s.
Dude was doxxing people on the rivalries board long before doxxing was a thing. He and his buddies almost ended a couple careers over message board shot talking.
He’s not a stable guy

Most on this board probably have no memory of it. But today marks the 33rd anniversary of the Challenger disaster

And to the rest of us, let that disaster be a lesson to all. There's no room for arrogance when lives are on the line. Human lives are more important than anyones ego. Never let a manager make an engineering decision.

Was in elementary...We watched live in the cafeteria...looking back now it was when I first realized teachers were actually "real" people. The heaviness of the mood at school and the tears and shock was very raw and I will never be able to forget it.

I think we had just moved from Houston to Florida when it happened.

The thing that amazes me about the Jorts saga is how many other people wanted be a part of his e-clique, and then - more amazingly - were willing to hire an attorney and send over a retainer because they liked his message board smack. How the hell do you not google the guy's name at least and see that he admitted to being a mule and had his license suspended?
I guess the idea of having the "Aggie Network" at your back is tempting for people who don't have a lot of real world contacts to turn to, and it overwhelms common sense or ordinary skepticism.

Man... unless the person is bragging about doing something HIGHLY illegal doxxing somebody on a sports board is a grade A a-hole move. Anyone doing that is a shite head who should be avoided.

Ouch! I knew I was a lot older than you, but that put it in a totally different perapective. I was in a computer lab at A&M working on a program.

What about someone who threatens to do it, but has neither the balls nor the ability to do so?
