Yeah, but our president didn't come out and say "We fire coaches for going 8-4".

Props for sticking to their guns. But they sure do look like retards for hiring a coach who is averaging less than 8 wins per season.

Coog high gonna Coog high.

They fired a guy who had taken all of two years to completely lose his team and was doing shite like benching his NFL caliber QB (as much as I hate to say that about Kyle Allen) 2 and a half games into the year causing him to leave for the draft when he probably would have stuck around for his senior year. (which is how they ended up with a true freshman QB in their bowl game)

Then he went and got beat 70-14 by a fricking Army team with it's antiquated arse option offense after a month of prep.

IMO Houston showed the balls that we didn't when we kept Sumlin too long. They saw that Appewhite was going to do nothing but drag them down and cut him the frick out ASAP. Maybe it's arrogant of them to demand bigger things but I admire the moxie they show.

I'm not dogging them for firing Applewhite.

But when you boldly tell the world that you fire coaches for going 8-4, then you deserve to be ridiculed for going after an 8-5 coach that has averaged 7.625 wins per season.

If they're going to shell out that type of money for a coach, I would have gone after Neal Brown.

Is averaging 8.75 wins at a Sun Belt school that much better than 7.65 at a Big 12 school?

Whatevs, the sip boards melt down over our big wins too.

We should just get it over with and get them back on the schedule.

It's idiotic that both sides obsess over each other but can't get this shite to work.

Get them plus another P5 every year and lets fricking roll. If Florida, UGA, and USCe can make a perma OOC opponent work out we should be able to as well. Just get that fricking Pig game outta JerryWorld back to home and home and there should be no issues.

The second we put them on the schedule again their games leading up will be something like KU, bye, FCS team, then us. They’ll prep 3 weeks for us while we’ll be in the middle of a tough schedule because it’s always tough in the SEC.
