Did you watch that game? They dropped so many balls. We got lucky.

There were lucky breaks that went both ways that had a huge impact. Also, one could say they dropped a lot of balls b/c that's what 7-5 teams do.

I see that auburn finished ranked #22 in 2014 (which surprised me), but 8-5 isn’t a great team. And certainly not #3 in the nation like when we played them.

2015 Arkansas record was 8-5 as well and finished not ranked.

Tennessee in 2016 finished 9-4 and ranked so I’ll give you that one.

The other two are #fakenews though.

I specifically mentioned Sagarin rankings. I think that or some other computer ranking is much better than the AP polls if you want to see which teams are actually good.

If you go off how many ranked teams you beat, it becomes somewhat self defeating because any team you beat is automatically less likely to be ranked. That holds for all teams, look at any team's schedule to find wins over ranked teams and you end up with very few impressive resumes.

The average computer poll will look at how well you actually played relative to your schedule.

Anything is better than Mond. Guy is barely better than arse my dude.

If we have even a competent, caretaker at QB we beat Moo State and especially Barn

I’m telling y’all, that’s not how Jimbo feels.

If you have convinced yourself that Quarterback X is going to get the start over Mond next year, you are in for a disappointment.

I personally think Mond lacks any leadership ability and is a choke machine, but Jimbo has committed to him.

I think Jimbo really likes that Mond knows the playbook, doesn’t freak out when he fricks up, and can take being yelled at like a man. The rest of us would like throwing the ball to wide open receivers, leadership, and quicker, better decisions, but Jimbo seems to like Mond on a personal level.

Mond is far from perfect but how do you watch the Clemson and LSU games this year and have an opinion like this?

I’m not a Mond fan but when he is on he is on. Rewatched the abbreviated SECN LSU re-run and Mond made a ton of great reads and threw dimes in high pressure clutch situations. That Mond was awesome. Even an above average Mond I can live with.

The other Mond that rears it’s head too often...the one that is slow to read, holds onto the ball waaay too long, the one that seems unaware of situations, is terribly inaccurate, etc... is the one I just can’t take. That Mond is tough to watch.

Yep, too many hills and valleys with Mond. When he’s doing good, you really start to think he’s a great QB (or at least has the potential to be), but then the bad Mond shows and reminds you not to get too excited. At this point I just hope the extra practice with the bowl plus another offseason will help develop him further and we get less of dr jekel and mr Hyde.

All year I felt like I was watching the same team on saturday and sunday. Mond very much reminds me of Dak playing for the Cowboys...Great at times and very good in late game situations...but seems to be paralyzed by over thinking and slow at other times...and accuracy issues

Yikes. I am one of the bigger Mond haters on here and this is one of the few things I think is a positive

Idk. He came through in the 4th quarter against Clemson and south Carolina. And he had that miracle drive against LSU that I will always be grateful for. But he was so bad in the 2nd half against LSU and I will never forget his 4th quarter against auburn

Well yeah he’s incredibly erratic as a thrower and lacks any sort of pocket awareness. Things are going to go bad. But he’s clearly not lacking in the mental toughness department and he never gives up despite the obvious skill limitations.

I don’t really understand what he’s defining as “leadership” from a fan perspective since we aren’t in the huddle. There doesn’t seem to be any drama from our team as far as following his lead though. I’m certainly not trying to argue Mond is a good college QB or anything. I just don’t think the areas he’s trashing him for are the problem

Mond is a choke machine though.

Don’t even muh Clemson or muh LSU me. Clemson was a blind squirrel and LSU he played terribly for a strong majority of that game. 23-49!!!! 23 for fourty fricking nine!!!

So he wasn't having a great game, then was lights out during crunch time. That's the opposite of "choke machine."

One good drive before OT. The rest was w/a short field so it doesn’t count
