Strangely the Ags went from 5th in the West to tied for 1st.

Up to 10-12 in the rankings this morning. Like I mentioned before we really need another 2-3 wins this weekend vs MU. If we get to 7-2, then we can finish ~.500 and still hit 17-13 or 18-12 which should be just about what we need to host.

Bats have woken up obviously. Is it just a short term aberration or is there some new confidence the offense can keep up with our pitching?

Again, take with grain of salt bc WN sucks at this but right now they have us projected at 18-12 and it results in a 12 RPI.
Somehow to get there we go....
3-0 vs Mizzou
1-2 at LSU
3-0 vs Auburn
3-0 at SC
1-2 at Ole Miss
1-2 vs State
0-3 at Bama
2-1 vs Arky
Some of those must be partials since it adds up to 19.
But if we are sitting at 15-3 and end up 18-12 Ima be pretty fricking pissy.
Somehow to get there we go....

5 runs in B8 on 2 hits (one of which was an infield single), 2 errors, and a WP.
Maybe don't deserve this one tonight but we hung around til they made some mistakes and when they did we capitalized.

Staying in first. A sweep would be huge. Lsu looks beatable next week too.
If we can jump out to a 9 or 10 wins then we put ourself in a great position to host. Maybe even a national seed depending on the finish.

indeed! With our win and UK beating UGA, we look to be tied with Arky at 6-1 and our RPI is now closing in on the top 10.
ETA - Vandy also moved into the #1 RPI spot so series win over #1 RPI isn't a bad resume builder

I was pretty surprised that UK threw a shutout after seeing their Sat starter and bullpen last weekend.
But apparently they changed their rotation for the Thu-Sat series to keep their Friday starter on Friday. Only decent pitcher they have and he threw a 2-hit shutout.
