It won't be after the season but it will be at least til after Bama

My guess is it'll be the first game he loses out of Kentucky/Missouri

I didn't realize Vandy was the very last game for some reason, if he doesn't lose to Kentucky or mizzou (unlikely IMO) then he might actually make it the whole season and be canned after Vandy beats him

The new December signing period is going to change how programs get rid of coaches. We need to get rid of him sooner rather than later because of this.

I'm hearing he probably coaches the rest of this month. Chris Low has already said that he doesn't expect anything to happen in the next two weeks but after that who knows.

That said, none of us really know how Currie will handle this. He could be feeding info. to Low in order to have space to work. Reporters certainly all got the baseball hire wrong.

What pisses me off is, guys like butch and Sumlin and many, many others get paid a frick ton of money only to subsequently fail and embarrass our schools.

How did we get to the point that we allow ourselves to be held hostage by these overpaid clowns?

That's the question...when is the ideal time to fire a coach. If you wait until after the season is over, you are in line with a bunch of other programs courting the best available options out there.

I say, after the loss to either LSU or Missouri...that way, you have an interim that only coaches one game (so there isn't much traction for them being named the successor to the program) and you are still in the hunt for your new coach relatively early in the process.

I think if we lose to Scar then it's pretty much fair game.

Supply and demand. It is no different than CEO pay or the rising cost of health care.

People want "the best" so desperately but there is a limited supply of "the best". There is no cap on the "cost curve" because everyone is constantly out bidding the previous best bid for the perception of best.

The outcome is golden parachutes for CEOs on top of their compensation packages, buyout clauses for coaches on top of being the highest paid public employees, and an unprecedented 30 year spiraling inflation cost for health care.

If you want to hire a coach with zero demand, you can avoid the buyout clauses. But if your job is to do the hiring.... it may not be much longer as the fan base wants to open the purse strings for the perceived best.

After Bama is my guess but a loss to UK would definitely do the trick.

If he isn't fired today or tomorrow, I don't think it will happen until we lose another game or two.

At this point, I think everyone is on board. It's probably more about trying to find a way to unite the locker room (by that, I mean coaching staff).

Partially true, but the bigger issue is too much money in college sports right now and no real consequences for lack of long term planning.

Says a Tennessee fan.

No offense, but UGA fans have been eyeballing the finances and spending of Tennessee for a long time. To say that there are no consequences to debt is funny. A very Tennessee thing to say.

When budget issues come up at UGA, the conservative minds point to Tennessee and say, "do you want to be those guys?". Especially with changes from O'Bannon and potential consequences from CTE.

Even in our worst years in history, we still make more than Georgia.

"Do you want to be those guys and make $20 million more?"

"No, no, I'm fine sitting here sucking ole Herschel's dick. Thanks for the offer though."

Google tennessee debt.
Google tennessee reserves.

You don't have to like me or agree with me.
Just pointing out the parts of the balance sheet (not shown on a p&l).

The gross revenues are impressive. I knew they were improving over the last decade but I wasn't aware that they had risen that high. Cheers.
