Flashback: Saban gave his word he was not leaving LSU. He then immediately left for the Dolphins and then went to Alabama.

I have had a love/hate relationship with Saban since then.

I understand and appreciate the feels Ole Miss fans have but it falls flat because you all loved him before he left.

Just own the hurt and call it a day.

Correct….which was followed by?

Oh shite….followed by the quote in the OP. Then made a comment about there being several reasons why people leave.

Ummmm. You do realize where Saban is currently right? You really expect him to say he told Lane to go to LSU while in Oxford?

He's a liar, and everyone knows he's a liar. With the possible exception of FAU. Every job he's had, he's left messy or unprofessionally. Ole Miss was no different. If any LSU coach left for Alabama under the exact circumstances Lane kiffin left Ole Miss. The administration, TAF and the entire fanbase would melt harder than Chernobyl. Lane Kiffin pleased himself and in doing so, incidentally pleased all of you. You don’t have to worry about Kiffin leaving LSU. What you have to worry about is the hand grenade he rolls into your football ops building when he does leave.

I guess in keeping with this melt, LSU fans lost their shite when Saban took the Alabama job for one reason and one reason only: we knew firsthand what Saban was about to do in Tuscaloosa. And he did it.

We would’ve been thrilled had say Hallman or DiNardo gone to Bama.

So all you’ve done is illustrate a critical consideration: yall are losing your shite because Lane told you weren’t good enough, and you know what he is about to do at LSU, not that he’s about to crash and burn.

LSU fans can only present retarded arguments.

I was told with extreme confidence that saving pushed lane to leave by this board

Obviously, Lane made the final decision.

Are we pretending Saban hadn't spoken on this in the past...or Kiffin?

Saban said he gets asked for advice on the regular...instead of giving advice immediately he starts by asking a question like....
"You have a Heisman level QB and RB, why would you leave?"

So, I guess Lane gave him a really great reason as to "WHY" he needed to leave even with those players available at OM.
Kinda sad you retards can't actually hear and understand things...

...says the guy trying to convince himself that Saban didn't recommend LSU, instead tried to tell Kiffin to stay, and Kiffin just decided to go to LSU anway.

No he didn't.

And I don't pull for Ole Miss.

And as far as "owning something". Consider "owning" that LSU now has it's very own version of Urban Meyer. Except in this case, after a whopping 15 years of head coaching experience, there are no skins on the wall. Unless you count winning the AAC. (snort laugh)

Oh and another thing. Comparing Kiffin's departure from Ole Miss to Saban's departure from LSU is flimsy and weak. You would've done better evoking his departure from Miami.
