It's the SEC, what do you expect? They play teams like Mercer, E Illinois, Charlotte, ect, then brag about it.

The weekend before thanksgiving has been overall shitty in conference for a while now. 9 league games will improve that to some degree. But when Texas-Ark and lame duck UF-Tenn are marquee games, it’s not a very appetizing weekend.

Only bitter idiots who are too stupid to realize its far more beneficial to play these teams in November than to open your season think the SEC is doing anything wrong. We are just more intelligent than everyone else and better at football

i think people understand why playing these high school teams in November is beneficial. they're calling you bitches for doing it. they're right

You played Sam Houston, UTEP and San Jose St.
Sit down and shut the frick up

Ok gay boy. Maybe thats why we are going to be 11-1 and Texas will be lucky to be 8-4.
Maybe yall should stop trying to impress other people and actually be good at football first

If only we could schedule Rutgers before our rivalry game right?
Heck, I'll take Purde

Scheduling at the beginning is the weak move.
Posted on 11/22/25 at 2:11 pm to Dawgs2122
Im not going to say either one is necessarily more weak or not. I am going to say its a lot dumber to play them early and every single team plays them at some point so anyone trying to pretend they dont or act cool because they play them early is a mega fig

Portnoy is a graduate of Michigan.
Here's Michigan's November schedule:
Purdue (2-9, 0-8)
@ Northwestern (5-5, 3-4)
@ Maryland (4-6, 1-6)
4 conference wins so far between those 3 teams.
lol
And then OSU.

I have to agree, no excuse for all the cupcakes.

Ohio State has played such a joke schedule many around the country openly discuss how good yall actually are at least until the Michigan game.
Shut the hell up

You joke but ... yeah. Would really prefer we not break up the most exciting part of the season with cupcake week.
Posted on 11/22/25 at 2:41 pm to td01241
I think there is more of a risk playing better teams early. Look at us. Would you have wanted Tech week 2? If we had the Vols next week instead of week 3 do you think it shakes out like it did?

That lil cock sucka gets on my nerve. Ask him where was he when Michigan was cupcake capital for years?
This was Michigan's "national championship level" scheduling
East Carolina
UNLV
Bowling Green
Then they played the "BIG" 10 schedule
Rutgers 7-6
Nebraska 5-7
Minnesota 6-7
Indiana 3-9
Michigan St 4-8
Purdue 4-8
Their first 9 games they played ONE power 5 team with a winning record at the end. They started it off with OOC cupcakes.
That's why I can't take that shite seriously. They coasted all season long. McCarthy barely had to throw, and they were mediocre as hell running the ball too. They were fresh as daisies by the end of the season.

Portnoy is a loudmouth and an idiot.
He never knows what he’s talking about anyways.
Tell him to shove another slice of pizza up his arse and give us a review.

Dave Portnoy can go frick himself. They basically play cupcakes all season long with an exception of 1 or 2 big matches.
Posted on 11/22/25 at 2:56 pm to Jerry World
I wish someone would lock him in a dark closet and only feed him burned frozen pizza for the remainder of his life.

I don’t really care tbh. When you play in the SEC as long as you aren’t A&M you’re going to play 3 to 4 teams a year at least that have rosters on a level close enough to beat you, this is speaking of the top tier of the conference. Then you play teams like Texas who would be 11-1 in the big 10 and even down to like Mizzou could be 11-1 in the ACC or 10-2 in the big 10. I will take all day the late season joke game to get healthy and re assess instead of them early when our 3s provide better live reps.
The big 10 might not even be the second best conference this year the big 12 could be. These guys can go frick themselves
