It is ridiculous to schedule these teams in November.
Samford, E. Illinois, Mercer, Charlotte ?
What a joke

SEC been doing it for years.
It's a fuggin joke to be playing E. Illinois today and bama should be called out for it.

I mean either you play the cupcakes or they lose their football programs.
What do you want?

Meanwhile Missouri started the season with 5 home games, including games against Central Arkansas.
Alabama was @ Florida St that same weekend.
Didn't see you running your dick sucker then.

Sorry that we can’t play fricking Rutgers or the like every week in conference Dave.

We should have played central Arkansas or Massachusetts instead.
Missouri complaining about schedules is rich

It technically doesn't

The only reason Michigan quit playing FCS teams is so they couldn't lose to them again while being ranked #5 in the country.

Very poetic that as he was championing Michigan playing Maryland (like it’s a tough matchup) their record scrolls across the bottom of the screen. 4-6? L.O.F’n.L

Are these games going away next year with the 9 game sec schedule? This SEC weekend is pathetic

I actually don’t fault the SEC approach.
Strategically, later in the season with the general wear and tear, it can be an ideal break (so to speak) to give starters some extra rest and work on building some game experience depth (assuming the sacrificial lamb is overmatched as expected and doesn’t cause any unforeseen problems).
A steady diet of cupcakes during that entire first month, like most other conferences do, can often make for a yawn inducing (and deceptive) start after the long wait of an offseason.

Yeah… we already have one of the hardest schedules in the country, but we should have scheduled Ohio State today damnit!

What's the difference if you play them early or late. Most were playing elite games early while your team was playing a cupcake In September because your weak arse team needed warm up games

You can’t even see Portnoy’s horns with that hat on.
