I don’t recall anything like this week, where literally everyone in college football anointed a team and a player like they did Mississippi State/Taylor.

A one score win at home versus an injury-depleted and poorly coached Mizzou team did not warrant the hype

It makes me wonder if they did it to make the inevitable blowout by Alabama look better after the fact.

Literally any QB that is 6’4 plus with ok running ability and can complete a down field pass is called “the truth” by everyone at ESPN

It’s the Anthony Richardson effect

By Overlooking Miss State suspect defense

Miss State had a pretty solid start t the season (I mean Minnesota has been fine this year outside of the MSU game) but Alabama seems to be playing extremely well on offense and it was obvious MSU would have to score like 50 points to win against the Tide

I suppose.

I guess I just never noticed it to this extent before.

September hype has always and will always be a thing.

You have it exact

Funny enough, every athletic Anthony Richardson type QB hasn’t won anything worthy of note in college since Cam either yet they get blown by the media and end up going in the first round

This. If I’d seen State was starting DJ Chester at LG before this game I’d have laughed at their #16 ranking & at Misery for losing to them.

Kamario may still have potential, but he’s gonna have a rough year trying to do everything by himself.

The media’s job is to run their mouth so you will watch. Mission accomplished.

I think there’s only two SEC teams that can hang with Bama this year (UGA and Florida)

We are on track for a losing season.

I think the only team we may be favored against going forward is Arkansas.

Yea UK was gonna wax Bama, then FSU was, then Sellars would be too much, then today’s game was an automatic state win. One day they’ll be right.

Maybe everyone was built up in the hype that state beat your dogshit team…

True

Same holds for Bama.

You can see the potential, but still playing really sloppy. Lots of miscues by the other team and some big plays have made the games what they are so far.

Still, that potential is encouraging as hell. Loads of talent. If they can ever figure out a complete game, they are easily a championship caliber team.

Next few weeks will show where they are at.

You think I’m going to disagree?

That’s on you, man.

I’m a Mizzou fan, but I’m a realist.

Maybe you should leave fantasy land, too.
