There us absolutely no rhyme or rhythm anymore.

The NIL and Portal decisions created complete parity and the 24 team playoff is the cherry on top.

They successfully created NFL lite. Congrats NCAA.

Money money money

Jim Knowles outside 1 stop is a lifetime DC similar to Chavis and Venables until very recently. It was a knockout hire by Heupel but Tennessee won’t do anything with it because Heupel is a mediocre coach.

Tennessee is the exception this year, not the rule.

Awwww bama can’t completely cheat the system with impunity and gain unfair advantages weekly any longer. I’m so sorry for you.

Eta
I hate the transfer portal and total lack of continuity among the rosters

OP is right, the question has shifted from who can navigate the regular season to who can stay healthy and get hot in the postseason.

It is still football and still enjoyable if you accept it and look for the things teams have to do to meet those things for a playoff run.

That's rich coming from the absolutely biggest cheating team in NCAA history!

I would say you should count your lucky stars the new era has kicked in so yall dont get investigated and have to vacate all your NCs.

They all deserve an asterisk at the very least.

The only difference is the transfer portal and no regulation or cap is what makes it a mess.

On one hand it's fun for every game mattering but it still feels like teams with more money and money hungry players will destroy the sport.

I have almost entirely lost interest in the NFL and was rapidly moving in that direction with college football but this year's kayfabe theater has me fully engaged.

It used to be only Bama had the highly paid players via the Red Elephant Mafia. Now everyone can do it…… so it is not as much fun for y’all .

I don’t recall the NFL having annual free agency for the entire league

That is the biggest impediment to stability. Even more than NIL as a whole

If rosters are more static the parity goes back away because the teams throwing money around for mercenaries have to live with the consequences of botched roster building and poor development. There is no portal fix around the corner to cover up misses because there is no portal

Over the time the powers who know how to build teams and develop players are back at 0-1 losses a year instead of 1-3. Because they’ll be built with players that have been in the system for 3-4 years, and the backups are the next generation of stars at that school, not transferring out next offseason

There is definitely no consistency at all. No depth.

Oh woe is us. Competitive games every weekend.

The horrors.

Tennessee is on the road and teams are up and down as they have been since the dawn of time.

I picked UT to lose this game because reasons youd never grasp but they'll probably beat LSU because reasons youd never grasp.
