We enjoy fricking ourselves.
If a coach is doing well, we like to remove all performance incentives and encourage them to mail it in.

hope Elko signed this extension before today's game. Great idea TAMU.

It makes more sense to raise the salary/incentives vs giving term & guaranteed money
They won’t learn though

The Pearl clutching from LSU fans given your current coaching state of affairs is hilarious

I’ve got a very nice collection of sci fi short stories form the 50’s and 60’s
The things these authors envisioned 60-70 years ago that we now have blows your mind

There were oviously other stories with similar devices, but none as prominent as Bradbury.

He was only being paid $7M a year. There were 31 coaches paid more. The top coaches are probably getting $15M contracts.
He was way underpaid for the results he achieved this year and several schools were coming after him offering to probably double his pay.
His current deal is incentive based. If he were to win the playoffs, he would be the highest paid coach this year.

A&M didn’t have a choice, and it seems to me like they could’ve gotten squeezed more than this.

I have less of a problem with the contract itself than making it a story on fricking game day.
Absolute idiots.

Judging by today’s game, it looks like an amazing investment!

One game doesn’t make a season
Just like one season doesn’t make a career.
These ADs just can’t help themselves.
