I grew up in Shreveport and vacationed all over Arkansas growing up. Buffalo River, Eureka Springs. Digging for diamonds at the Cradle of Diamonds Park. Horse races at Oaklawn in Hot Springs. I will always have a soft spot for the Razorbacks. Good people up there.

That’s the thing, the money in the state doesn’t care. The Waltons have zero interest in sports. Tyson gave some money but not that much.
Until the people explain how a successful sports program can make help the area more than just about anything else, not much can be done.
Look at Alabama before Saban got there and when he left. I’m not saying that that is even possible right now but you have to spend it and get a good coach and AD to make it.

I would love to leave the conference.
I always hear we get money out of it... I haven't seen result that match that in 15 years.
Play the toughest competition in the country, but at least we have the talent to win out of conference games most of the time, right?
We looked closer to North Alabama than we do to Utah.
The sport we have money to compete in is basketball, and that has nothing to do with the SEC. Plus there are conferences that are just as good if not better for basketball.
We just get no benefit from being here

You're correct on the Waltons but not the others. Tyson geives quite a bit but it's basketball specific
