I was raised to judge a man based on the content of their character and not the color of the skin. Some on this board had a different upbringing.

It’s rare, especially since they implemented the Dreamers policy. Immigrants were getting more money to in state students. It was their DEI push a few years back

Don't be a dumbass. There are 24 million people in asian population, all citizens and not foreigners.
Now, go look at the resumes of students who got accepted to UT before you whine and complain.
I went to LSU and I love the university. But, when it comes to national ranking, brand, and the quality of education, Texas attracts a lot of national talent.
I counsel college kids for friends and family and they're not a single kid who was accepted to Texas had a score of less than 1560, along with sports and other academic merits.
Ignorance is not a bad thing if only you try to educate yourself.

I don’t dislike either one, but I genuinely think a lot of people really would choose A&M over Texas with or without being accepted to UTA.

This is happening all over the US. Parents all over Cali and the Northeast are sending their kids to sec schools for a normal, traditional college experience away from the remnants of once great schools that woke or web killed with Uber leftist antifa philosophy.
