Yeah, he did say that. He said other things too, not sure how credible they are though. He's given me no reason to not believe him.

He posted this:
quote:

RT @CarlCarltp @EagleDamnWar of course it is cause I have so much pride for my team. I love AU and want nothing more than for them to succeed
In response to this:
quote:

RT @EagleDamnWar Tenn. fan posted this quote from Carl Lawson:"it's embarrassing to represent a team and watch them lose... It's disappointing." @CarlCarltp
I see nothing wrong with Lawson being embarrassed. How could be not be, you know?

BTW, Fwiw, Curtis Luper contacted Jordan Wilkins today. Word is that he hadn't been in contact with him much here recently. That may be why there were rumors of Wilkins looking around, and the rumors could very well be true. I guess we will have to wait and see. We really need him as a big back.

He also should be in Oxford this weekend. Said reason for looking around is he just now realized after driving to Aubun how far away it is and may want to go closer to home. But like Lawson that may be wrong

What do u make of Foster calling our coaches to visit? Unofficially. I don't want to speculate because he seems like he would be 110% committed to yall. Just wondering if anything changed?

He said after his commitment to Auburn or flip that he will take official visits to other schools.

I think he is calling around to different states getting quotes on tattoo removal before he visits.

It would be kind of awkward going somewhere else with that nasty AU tattoo on his arm.

I was talking about Dee Liner not Reuben Foster. There's a pretty high change Liner ends up at Alabama. It's slim to none that Foster does.

Well that would make more sense.

I am confused about Liner. If he is a thug why is Bama recruiting him?I know he is really good player ,but I do not want to have a bad reputation by taking him?Is he worth it or not?

Liner is the only top recruit that I don't mind losing. The swimming pool thing doesn't bother me at all but the yelling at a cop does. He seems to have a few issues and would probably do better at Alabama than at Auburn. Saban has a knack for being able to take top talent and knock them down to earth and mold them into a team player. The coaches at Auburn have no history of being able to do that.

Sandalwood (Jacksonville, Fla.) four-star defensive end DeMarcus Walker, an Alabama commitment, is visiting Auburn either the weekend the Tigers host Texas A&M (Oct. 26-28) or Georgia (Nov. 9-11). Walker is currently solid to Alabama, but has built a good relationship with Auburn defensive coordinator Brian VanGorder and will at least check out the Tigers.

That sure is a lofty goal you're setting for the plainsmen there. Maybe ought to give them something a little lower to shoot for.

A friend of Carl Lawson who has been keeping vols up with his recruitment wrote this about him on VQ:

Auburn was his first offer, and they recruited him well. He just likes it. His dad is not a big fan of auburn. My guess he ends up at FL state or UT

Carl is a bit tricky... His heart says auburn but his logic says 3-4, team with an upward trend. He wants to play early...I think he is a bit conflicted and will not really focus too much on his college choice until after the season.

He comitted to auburn mainly because they guaranteed him a schlolorship even if injured. Call it insurance.

Since then they have done a good job but do has UT and FSU. Ole miss is in because off his high school coach. USC because he wants to visit and all the hype around that program. He enjoys the fame no doubt about it.

He should be there for bama if the stadium is rocking he will love it.

FSU runs a 3-4? That makes no sense. Any chance he got FSU mixed up with UF? I know Lawson reached out to UF, which is why I ask that. UF is trending towards the 3-4 as well, which would make more sense with the response.

This was posted about a week ago. Before FSU lost to NC State and UF beat LSU. At the time, FSU was a nc contender and was considered to have one of the best defenses in the league. That's probably why. Things may have changed with a FSU loss and a UF win. I don't think he is going to limit himself to only 3-4 schools, he committed to AU. He may know he is better off in a 3-4, but if he likes the schools, he will go there.
