Bottom line, UT and UF have been dumpster fires. The blue chip ratios for both teams shot up with these classes. Mullen has really rebuilt the team pretty solidly in two years losing a lot of 3 star guys and adding 4 star guys.
So yeah, the gap is closing. It isn't closed. It's closing.
I will continue to like UGA's chances with better talent and better recruiting classes each year. UT and UF weren't going to stay down forever.
Kudos to UT on what looks like addition of DB Coach Derek Ansley - Pruitt really upgraded there and Ansley is phenomenal recruiter.

should be a good battle. With those two bookend OTs and Guarantano continuing to improve, I see UT closing the gap on UF very quickly.

I think 8-9 wins is possibly for Tennessee since their out of conference schedule is against Georgia State,BYU,Chattanooga and UAB.

I think UT’s recruiting takes a sharp upturn this upcoming cycle. We had quite a few lazy recruiters on staff, and they’ve been replaced with Ansley, Tee Martin, and soon to be Jay Graham. As far as recruiting ability goes, our staff can go toe to toe with anyone (obv. won’t come close to Bama or Georgia due to proximity and our decade long bout with mediocrity, but we should be able to land a top 10 class at a minimum).
Having Chaney instead of Ty Helton should help offensive recruiting, if only for the fact that it will cut down on the indecisiveness we had recruiting that side of the ball this past cycle.

You aren't on UFs lvl to claim we battle anything out with you. We've literally owned Tenn for two decades now. Have significantly more success. A more proven coach. Better players.
Tenn has to earn it now. UF is the head dog in the East with good coaching. Not even debatable. Check the SEC titles since the split. Notice we have more than the entire division?

Nobody cares what happened 10-20 yrs ago, have fun getting your shite pushed in by UGA and others this upcoming season. 2025 is just around the corner, continue to build.

What does that have to do with what he said about Tennessee?

Gotta assume this was a mistake when he said "in Georgia" and he's talking about Sandidge (NC recruit)?

Lol at Gaturds claiming someone has to get to their level like they’ve done anything since Tebow left a decade ago.

I don’t think you quite get it.

What about when they hung 47 on Tennessee in Knoxville like 5 months ago?

How can you have a worse class than UGA and still close the gap?
The game gets played for a reason.

Okaaaaay.
The game gets played for a reason. So UT and UF are 0-4 over last two seasons - AND - as you said the games get played for a reason - so where is the gap closing? We have already established it hasn’t closed in recruiting nor on the field. So what is it?

It’s closing in coaching staff and skill.
We can still be getting better while the gap narrows. Those things aren’t mutually exclusive.

UF 4-7 < 10-3
UGA 13-2 > 11-3
Nope, the gap between UF and UGA did not close at all. Nope nope nope

There cannot be 2-3 measurements where the gap widens and 1-2 where it narrows and you say the gap is closing.
