It's the high-end recruiting game. Most major programs will take risks with top flight recruits.
The kid is a stud and getting out of FL should be good for him. With the players left on our board it just isn't worth the risk/hassle/etc.
You don't get it. In the SEC, you only get to accept 25 sign LOIs per year calendar year. We have a bunch of early enrollees that count to last year (since last year's class was so small), but we can only accept 25 signed LOIs (not counting the midterm guys) next month. That's it. We are already at 25, with two commits whose grades will cause us not to accept their LOI, and another that will probably play MLB. At most, we have room for three more, and we have some serious, serious talent still looking at us, and we have a bunch of incredible receivers already in this class. I can promise you that our staff would not be wasting time with Stevens unless they believed he had a VERY good chance to qualify.

Lol.
Guys on your board don't make it worth the risk?
There's no way we're taking this kid if he presents any sort of qualifying risk. We already have 2 "high-end" receivers. As in, more high-end than Tony. We have 8 total committed. We're working with maybe 3 'ships right now.
We're not investing in this kid without assurance that he can make it - there's simply no purpose in us taking a risk.

Visiting Auburn. I really hope we don't lose him. He is going to qualify.

This guy just flipped to Auburn. Never heard of him though.

Sucks for us. He is a very good receiver.

He's good. But if there's one position for which we can take a hit, it's WR.
Hope we close on Larue.

Liucci said Tony's 'ship got pulled.
I think it's spin.

I agree WR is deep but I felt he could start for us or play a lot next year. I wouldn't be surprised if he fails to make it in.

Yeah the guy is good just don't know if he can make it in. Hope he makes the grades though.

Been saying for a while he has a ton of issues. Not to mention if he even qualifies...

You've been all over this, Ocean. Props.
Apparently FSU did an in-home last week.

They are saying he did something (lied about something) that didn't settle well with the A&M coaches.
His ship sailed as soon as he got home. Good for him to accept the Auburn offer. Hope he enjoys getting his tail kicked by A&M for the next few years.

Yeah, we lost talent there. Hope we can pick up Laurue in his place.
Recruiting is such an in exact science. (Sarcasm)

I can see Sumlin spinning. He's such a Mack Brown.

Doubt it. That ship sailed a long time ago. His constant flipping/shenanigans took its toll
