Why would Malzahn get canned?

Who else do you think UGA will land at RB?

LSU is just a hat on the table.
Haven’t seen any threads about him on our board.

If we whiff on Evans, we are confident in flipping one of Chaney, Lloyd or Bigsby

I could be wrong, but I think Evans is much more likely to end up at A&M, Bama or LSU than UGA. Flipping Chaney wouldn't surprise me, if things aren't trending well at Miami, but I doubt Lloyd and Bigsby flip. Jmo.

Means we told him no because we think we can get Evans. Will believe it when I see it

Fib and I are both not high on Tank (at RB). He may end up being a fine player, but I don’t see it yet. I’d much rather take the risk on Evans or try flipping one of the other stud RBs.

Y'all ain't getting Lloyd. Promise you that.

These kind of statements make me laugh when it comes to recruiting.

Wouldn’t say we’re confident in it, but we would definitely try

Supposedly something is going on behind the scenes with an offensive recruit, possibly a running back for UGA. Milton has tweeted to thank him later and now Lindberg and Ratledge have chimed in and apparently the UGA mods are aware of what is going on but refuse to give any indication as to who or what is happening

I saw that tweet by Milton and with the timing of Tank announcing his commitment this Friday wondered if it was about him.

Word is that we backed off after the last round of visits. Feel good about someone higher on the board. Don’t know specifically who that is.
Tank wanted to get it done. He will commit to Auburn this week.

It is not Tank as far as I've been able to glean. Dot34 and I will be hanging out celebrating... The rest of the Dawgs may remain in wait and see mode.

Dot34 already answered but was just going to follow up to confirm. I just am not sold on Tank personally. I'm well aware that I'm in the minority but I'm ok with it. If UGA didn't land Evans, I feel good about either 1) our odds of flipping a back that we'd be happy with later, or 2) taking a best player available at a different spot that would have higher odds of contributing meaningful snaps at UGA.
My biggest issue is I don't see him being a complement to what Milton brings. He seems stiff and not very agile/elusive... Limited footage on him that I've seen but I just don't see elite top 5/10 RB, and I've been consistent on it... I'm quite sure if he goes to Auburn, I'll regret every one of those statements at some point as he does his best KJ impression...

There are a handful of UGA fans who have held Fibb's sentiment and they arent wavering.
You are correct about the other 98%

Fibonacci is in the minority as most Dawg fans would be satisfied to keep the home grown Tank Bigsby.
However, it does seem true that the UGA staff has higher targets as they haven’t been willing to make Tank a priority and, had they, he likely would have already committed to UGA.
This is somewhat similar to last year when Dawgs could have had Noah Cain but likely spurned him to go for the higher rated IMG RB, Trey Sanders (ultimately lost that battle to Bama). You can laugh at it or say it’s sour grapes but UGA fishes at the deep end of the RB pond and is willing to take chances.
The thought right now is perhaps Zachary Evans is a silent to UGA and maybe he announces sometime this month. We shall see.
