I wondered if UGA might be quietly recruiting him to some degree

Think we’re absolutely doing that. No reason not to. He’s a talented enough player that getting him on campus is only a positive thing.

I'm pretty sure he's a take. But, I don't want to discuss him any further in this thread.

Interesting. A new thread gets created on him, and it gets whacked. WTF?

re: Running Back Recruiting
Maybe because it was a veiled (yet obvious) attempt to troll Aggie fans?

Alford chose Texas over LSU, Bama and A&M, who all recruited him and had the momentum at various points in his recruitment. But your post was only about Texas beating out A&M.

re: Running Back Recruiting
Incorrect. I stated that he was offered by several SEC programs and that ultimately he picked Texas over A&M. A&M was the only SEC program expecting his commitment. The fact that this was perceived as a troll attempt is just evidence of how sensitive some posters have become as a result of the real trolling on here. Silliness.

re: Running Back Recruiting
Merely mentioning that Alford was offered by other unnamed SEC schools (LSU & Bama) who actually recruited him agressively, with Bama actually even leading as of a few weeks ago doesn't make much sense. What motivated you to make that new thread post in the first place?

Not that I have to explain a fricking thing to you, but I posted it because he was a prospect that was being recruited in the SEC and nobody else had posted about his commitment here. The same reason most threads get posted here.

re: Running Back Recruiting
Then why are you still trying to explain and getting so mad bro?

That is not the same reason most threads get posted here. However, there probably are some other players that got recruited by SEC schools and committed to non-SEC schools that nobody else started a thread for when they committed. Did you start new threads to inform everyone about those commitments too?

re: Running Back Recruiting
Most threads get posted before there is any commit when there is a commit. Doing it a day later after he committed non SEC school just reeks of trying to troll.

You are and always have been one of the rants worst and constant trolls

Why don’t you just keep your trolling over there?

It was thread about a kid that committed to a non-SEC school. I get that kids have numerous schools that are on their short list, but once they commit to a non-SEC school, it is no longer SEC-related (in my opinion). I hope that that is clear.

Your thread was not an ongoing thread that followed this particular player's recruiting. Those are common and will be anchored once the player commits elsewhere.

Also, your thread seemed to single out A&M. I assume that your failure to mention LSU was just an oversight. We all have busy lives, I get it. I went ahead and whacked the thread because I didn't want what could be seen as a subtle troll to grow into a full-blown troll that would have resulted in your posting privileges being suspended.

Got it, and noted for the future.

I didn't name any of the other programs that offered, just referred to SEC programs, because A&M was the only one still expecting a commitment.

I appreciate the explanation, Lew.
