Truthfully I am more impressed with his pass blocking
Haven't seen too many HS Running Backs that include that in their highlight video

Tells you a lot of how he and his inner circle thinks.

Yes, it does. Kind of like blocking for WR. I played WR, and i never understood why other WRs ignored that part of their game.

If you want to run and catch the ball, block for the QB when throwing a pass. if you want to catch passes, block for the RBs when they are running the ball.

Those are the things that gets you on the field.

Like Feaster at Clemson.
The reason he was benched by Dabo was because he missed a blocking assignment

You can get your QB killed by not blocking as a RB
Huge part of the game.

A lot of young running backs aren't capable of blocking.
Can't get on the field if you can't do these things no matter how great you are.

I agree. Blocking isn't as sexy as running the ball, but it is just as important. Kids seem to ignore stuff that doesn't get them noticed.

Think Lil Ricky. This kid is going to be damned good for whoever gets him.

Don’t think it’s just as important, but it is definitely still important.

For Bijan it is and that is why I like him

Like I said...how many recruits will include that in their HUDL.
Plus he took on two blitzers

Most recruits will show their highlights of them running for TDs.

Maybe hyperbole on my part, but if a RB doesn't get blocks he generally isn't gaining much yardage. If a RB doesn't block he can get his QB hurt. If a WR doesn't block at UGA or Alabama, he generally doesn't see the field.

Off topic, but do you guys think Xavion Alford will be a take for Bama?

Evans - alone at the top. Truly elite prospect.

Milton, Mclellan, Robinson, etc. - very strong second grouping. Think Trey Sanders would have been here if he were in this class.

Lloyd, Tank, McGowan, etc. - third group. Very little difference between group two and group three.

Overall it’s a deep RB class, but Evans is the only sure fire all American, as far as my eye reads it.

IMO
tier 1- Evans and Chaney
tier 2- Milton, Mclellan, Robinson, and Bowman
tier 3- Lloyd, Bigsby, and McGowan

Can't go wrong with any of them and all have a chance to be elite. Just think if all walked into the same situation with the same team, that Evans and Chaney would have the best chances of becoming elite.

I'm pretty sure he's a take. But, I don't want to discuss him any further in this thread.

We will see what happens in December.

I doubt he falls and will be a consensus 5 star.

Interested who Texas signs as RB2

Are they still pushing for Jase McClellan
