The QB from Arkansas we "signed" and is reported to be part of the class is a walkon so subtract him, and whatever you want to believe, but Jordan Davis never signed.

247 is wrong about Jordan Davis. Bama saved a spot for him in case he could qualify but did not give him an NLI to sign. 247 is also wrong about Layne Hatcher being on scholarship. He is not. I got confirmation about those two via someone with inside connections. Bama doesn't publicize details about their numbers. And, Bama never talked about Davis publically or to the media. Per NCAA rules they couldn't, because he didn't sign with Bama.

Wouldn't be the first time they were wrong about something like that. Last I checked, they still had an article posted talking about how you can't back count any more.

Yep. Also, in trying to figure out where a school stands with its annual 25 signings and 25 initial counter limits, we can't just go by which class the recruiting sites list players in. Some of the early enrollees listed in a class might've been counted against unused spots from the prior year. And they've always listed blueshirts and greyshirts in the class/cycle they're recuited in, but they count against the next year's initial counter limits.

Never followed Banks’ recruitment all year. Didn’t know he was once committed to LSU.

I mean he could never be a contributor but it’s one game man. The kid is about to get SEC coaching. Pretty stupid to judge him off one game.
