Now, these are probably made for every recruit that's anywhere close to signing, but it still seems fishy.

Just classic LSU athletics blowing their load too early and getting blind sided by SEC west rivals..

What an absolute colossal failure by the LSU athletic department to have the entire state cherry picked like it’s the 1990s

Seems like a fireable offense to me. Especially someone who isn't going to LSU.

Fully expect him to sign with AM after the supposed “strong arse offer” this morning.

I was a little surprised at how hyped up the Tiger Rant crowd got with the 5fo5 stuff and the belief that all these kids that had looked out of state all year long would somehow flip back en masse.

Transition years are pretty painful, especially for a coach with so few ties to the local high school ranks. It is the exception rather than the norm for LSU though.

Uh we did just go through an wholesale coaching change about a month ago. This was expected. 2023 was always the year we looked forward to. if we land Perkins or any of these other kids its a win.

He nearly committed to A&M months ago and has been deep with the recruiting class all year long. Almost every recruiting board had talked about his interest in getting out of Louisiana.

This is less of a surprise than people want to think.

This goes beyond transition year. The kid wanted to go to LSU.. someone stepped up and gave him more money. LSU is fricking clueless when it comes to NIL organization.. especially with two months to land the most important remaining piece to this class

It was probably 4-5 years ago, but the same thing happened. They were toating this 5/5 thing, but ended up only getting 1 or 2 if I remember correctly.

If Perkins picks Lsu over A&M. How do you explain it? Lsu was willing to pony up for him but not Jacoby?

Yes. I don’t think LSU has enough money for two blue chips despite A&M buying the best recruiting class of all time. Today is a failure and anyone saying “it’s just a coaching change year” is fricking ignorant. 7/10 of the top Louisiana recruits are going elsewhere.. we had two months to figure this NIL shite out with Mathews uncommitted..

Oh geez. It wasn’t that long ago was it? That class had 3 too 10 players in it. Only one worked out.

Aggies.

We had great ideas on NIL.

Mathews flipping is not because of NIL.

That was pure luck. Miles got the only 2 that turned out to be as good as their ranking and he still won nothing with them.
